Hi,

I need a new laptop and looking to spend around $1000
I'm only using it for Office work, watching movies, and browsing the internet i dont play games.
But i do need a bit of grunt for my mapping programs.

I bought my Acer laptop for $500 after cashback from www.shopisalive.com (owner: Eric). I gave my specifications to him, what I wanted, he gave me a quote and I find it reasonable, and the deal done. It's been 2 years now, and everytime I got infected with virus or just small little detail things, I give him a call and he is always happy to help out. Honest to the fault, only charge his labour when its neccessary. No harm trying him out. It's a real deal.

  • I would seriously advice to have a look at MSI laptops. Maybe MSI is not very well known as PC or Laptop producer but they are one of the best producers of graphic cards and motherboards. Recently MSI wind has been reviewed by major PC magazines and received top scores. In my opinion MSI laptops provide good Value for Money.

  • I live down the road to MSI. MSI is for expert people in the computer field to fix up a pc/laptop themselves. I'm not a person who knows what parts to buy to create a machine.
