Not much point when there's no petrol…

Can always use half a tank to drive up to the Central Coast (from Sydney) we have fuel up here! :P

Alternatively, perhaps they'll accept it for 2L milk :)

I took this photo this morning of my local here in Melbourne…..

      http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/53368/18713/image.jpg

      • Did you fill up?

        0.000 is a good price… when you add the 16c off, it's even better…

        • +1

Nah. Didn't fill up as i did not have a voucher on me. Must get my discount!

        • +1

If you bought 150L with 16c off 0c they'd pay you $24 for taking their fuel. Not a bad deal that :)

        • I think I would be losing out still..

By the time I drive to the station. wait in queue. fill up. wait in another queue to pay, explain to the person that -16c/l means they owe me $24 and not I owe them, reexplain to cashier, explain to manager. reexplain to manager finally get my $24, go home. Will take me 45 mins.
My time is worth more than $32 per hour!

    • Luckily I didnt post this to just benefit you jv, it might be of benefit to someone else somewhere in Australia where there is petrol.

Not sure if this is valid for everyone or just a select few but I got a 30c deal the other day, valid until Oct-13.

Although this 16c deal would be better if you have no intention on spending $160, because $140 only gets you 20c.

Those deals were member specific… The amount of discount depended on your spending habits…

      • Nope, it's on the Coles website…it's for everyone.

        • +1

          link?

        • Nope, it's on the Coles website…

They were sent by email and the T&C's specifically said the offer was member specific…

Also, did you look at the pic??? It says "This Offer is just for you"

        • I knew someone would comment on the "This offer is just for you" bit, but they always say that even when everyone on OzBargain receives the same deal.

Anyway just thought I'd throw it out there, hopefully I'm not the only person in the country to receive it…

          It's right there.

        • It's right there.

You are confused. That's not the deal Click_It is referring to.

        • Ahh…I see what you meant. Sorry, I was referring to the actual deal of this post (COLES 16c Fuel Voucher When Spend $100)… Sorry, my bad.

    • When did you get this offer? I realise its a targeted offer based on your spending habits and different for different people.

I didn't get any offer though. I thought everyone would get an offer or is it random people?

      • I got it this Monday.

Not sure why I'm so special, we've stopped shopping at Coles once we realised the $50/$100 Bunnings cards are no longer a Flybuy reward (I know there are other substitutes but we can't be bothered anymore) …. Perhaps it was a "please come back" deal.

      • I got mine Monday too…

  • If you have a 8c or 16c off voucher for Coles Petrol and buy an additional $5 of products in-store, do you get another 4c off? If so, I'm buying 5L of milk when I'm next in there.

    • Yes you do get that.. When Coles Express takes over Woolworths Petrol and forgets to update their policies.

    • Coles has done away with you having to spend $2.00 in store to get another 2c per litre…Caltex/Safeway fuel stations has their deal on where you spend $5.00 for an additional 4c per litre.

  • No only at Woolworths branded outlets.

  • Ah yes mixed up coles and woolies. Thanks all!

    • +1

      mixed up coles and woolies.

After they merge, will they be known as Coolies ?

      • …isn't that being racist ?

        • It's an article on Wikipedia… Why is that racist?

The other option is to call it Woles

I got 30c off fuel on $60 spend.
    this isnt a deal

    • +1

They want us to spend $160 to get the 30c :(

    • I would advocate this point! I don't really get it why this "TRUTH" get so many down votes.

  • Excludes giftcards. Does that include skype gift cards? Also, I have been shopping at Aldi. Is it actuallt worth doing my shopping at coles for the fuel discount voucher since Aldi is a lot cheaper than coles?

    • Only if Coles/WW have things you want that Aldi doesn't stock, and you're willing to stock up at least $100+ worth heh.

Or perhaps you could buy $100 worth of something expensive (I don't know, makeup), remove the petrol voucher, then return the products. That's OzBargain worthy! :)

  • petrol has started going up 15c from 138 to 153 in melbourne today :(

  • The 16 cents a litre discount for $100 is a good deal for large families who spend that much each week anyway. I liked my flybuys targeted offer of a 12 cent fuel voucher for only spending $50. I'm not going to stock up too much stuff just to get an extra 4 cents per litre on top of my personal offer.

    • did you receive your 500 Target for e-news signup yet?

      • As of Monday, it hadn't come in yet.

I haven't received either the bonus points for the fathers day offer or the sign up bonus. By my estimates the points are about a week late given the fathers day offer ended sept 2. That means points should be paid about october 2. Target traditionally pay their big offers late.

By my calculations the sign up points are a couple of weeks late because the email said the points would be added 4 weeks from sign up and the email was from late August.

        • I got the 800 bonus points for $80 fathers day spend at Target some 2 weeks ago. Im yet to receive the 500 enews target signups points still
