      Gift cards are the absolute worst value redemption for FF points, unless you're absolutely certain you'll never earn enough points for a flight or upgrade.

    Completely depends on what you redeem them for and your personal threshold for flight prices, but conservatively:
    Gift cards- 0.74c per point= $18
    Economy flights- ~1c pp= $24 (taxes/charges wipe a lot value from these)
    Business/First flights- ~2c+ pp= $48+ (can be much higher for round-the-world tickets)
    Best value are probably flight upgrades, but they're more like a lottery.

  A $25 Big W gift card is worth 3500 points. A $25 Woolworths gift card is worth 3750 points.
  The price per point for the Big W gift card is 0.71cents.

  Anyone who flys can get at least 1 cent per point.They can earn more if they use it for upgrades or a higher class than economy.

  I don't fly so I use my points for Big W $50 gift cards at 6750 points which works out to 0.74 cents per point.
