Jet star price match time :)

Not only that… but Jetstar don't have a booking fee if you pay by direct deposit to their bank account. I'm flying to Adelaide during those periods anyway, so I compared Tiger with Jetstar and found Jetstar ended up being the same price when you account for the additional taxes/booking fees that Tiger add - that's without ringing up Jetstar to price match.

Tiger seems to only be good value IF you have one of their "booking-fee-free cards", like a debit Mastercard (I have a vista debit, oh well!).

      • How does one price match with Jetstar? just call them up or can it be done online?

Worst airline you could find… Made online booking about 3 months ago for last weekend and went to the airport to be told they had no record of it!! I showed them the print off confirming my booking and was told it didnt exist.

I said well here is the proof. As an anternative they told me look we can put you on the flight… But you will have to pay $110ea!! I said well we have already paid for a seat in which none of the staff knew how to respond.

I asked for my money back to be informed I would need to call customer support…. Dont get me started on them!!! About 45 mins later I was informed refund would take 4-6 weeks to be processed.

What a joke of an airline no wonder why they almost when broke a couple yrs back

this is pretty much every story I have ever heard about Tiger. The above, or a similar story where the flight is just cancelled for no good reason, and then the same guff about 4-6 weeks for a refund.

  • Just for perspective, I've flown with them a number of times and never had any issue.
Jetstar are no better, but if they're going to price beat then I'd be pursuing that avenue.
