From the website description:

Carrier Locking: Unlocked
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 4G LTE is the latest addition to Samsung's elite Note series. Introduced on September 04, 2013 at the IFA Berlin, this new phablet flaunts a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED touch display that slightly bigger than its predecessor Galaxy Note 2's 5.5-inch screen. The new handset is visibly thinner so far as width is concerned with 8.3mm thin bezels and smoother edges. The reduction in thickness makes it lighter as well as easier to slide down the pocket. Its multitouch supportive screen offers a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080p with 386 pixels packed inside per inch. The bar-form body of the device flaunts a stylish exchangeable textured-back cover. ——-

    • It's actually less wide, thinner, and lighter and .1mm longer. http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5665&idPhone2=…

Well I meant the screen, not the total size of the device. Will it eventually reach 7"? There are some phones bigger than 6" already.

I doubt it. They have the Galaxy Mega for those who want larger. The bigger screen the better if they keep the same physical dimensions as it just means smaller bezels.

        • Yeah about the Mega. Good point you brought up. I'm not sure how it differentiates itself from the Note besides the pen. Sounds like it is going for the same segment of the market as the Note. One of them is a bit redundant if you ask me.

    • The original note was 5.3" matey

OK, 0.3" bigger than S4. That's about how big S5 will be most likely. Is the S series not blurring the line between phone and phablet and eventually crossing into Note territory? The difference is less than an inch these days.

Just to clarify, the Note 1 was 5.3" but in a 16:10 screen ratio. The S4 is 5.0" in 16:9, so it's narrower to hold. The Note 3 is also 16:9 but that screen is scaled up to 5.7".

The S4 is definitely nudging phablet territory (usually deemed upwards of 5.0").

IMO the S and notes are on the edge of what samsung wants them to be in. If samsung wants bigger phones, they'll just add call features to their established tablet line. If accessories shoot off (watches and other weird things) this might just happen.

You got a point. 7 inch can be put in a pocket. 6 inch might be the max or 5.5

  • Class 4 16gb SanDisk worths $10? So it is $700 + shipping for a grey import note 3. Why not go for $799 AU stock from HN if you have a piece of junk mobile phone to trade in?

    • +5

      Because that deal is over.

      • I am selling my harvey one for $800 if anyone is interested. Pm me. I am in Perth and its brandnew.

  • Psychologically, I'm waiting to see the 32GB model drop below $700 shipped.

  • Minimum shipping is $29. Don't forget Australian stock is 32GB

  • +2

Rather pay the extra $100 or so (depending on your negotiation skills) to get local AU stock with 32GB and 2yr local warranty.

    • That's a good point. To compare apples with apples: eGlobal sells the 32GB model for $729 +$29 shipping = $758. No deal when compared to $800 locally.

  • Price is dropping $10 off every week!!!
