Gold Coast Theme Park Deals

Hi guys,

Going to Gold coast end of the month for 3 days. Just wondering what would be the best deal for the theme park in Gold Coast. I couldn't swim, so probably only going to Dreamworld, Seaworld & Movieworld. Would the VIP pass Movieworld's site for $99.99 & dreamworld for $79.99 the best deal around? Also, is one day for dreamworld & one day for movie and seaworld enough to go around? Appreciate any input. Thanks!

  • If you will not be back before June next year you can get a "3for3" pass that allows entry to Sea World and Movie World for $89.99. A one day DW ticket is $84.99 (http://gcparks.experienceoz.com.au/gold-coast/theme-parks/dr…)

The ticket options are outlined on my website here - http://gcparks.net/buy-tickets

Just note VIP and Unlimited World are cheaper to buy from the parks direct.

1day at each park will be enough, some find Sea World and Movie World are not enough to keep them entertained the whole day (mostly those that dont watch any shows)

    • oh cool, so you're like the reseller or travel agent? It's good to know is cheaper to buy through you. So if I buy from you, you just email me the ticket? Do I still have to queue up at the park to get the actual ticket? Cheers!

When you say the VIP & unlimited is cheaper at the gate, how much cheaper though? Just wondering if that would worth queueing in the line for..

      • I am an affiliate of ExperianceOZ, they are selling you the ticket and will email it to you immediately, if you encounter any issues I can also access your ticket.

You will not have to que when pre purchasing excluding the VIP pass which needs to be processed/a photo taken.

VIP and Unlimited are the same price at the gate as through me, these are slightly cheaper through the offical theme park websites.

        • just wondering if I wish to enter 2 parks on the same day, is that possible with the 3 for 3 pass?

  • You don't need to swim to enjoy the water worlds.
Are you hiring a car? I recently did so through avis and they give out a really good discount booklet with buy 1 get 1 free vouchers in it for the theme parks.
I got unlimited entry to dreamworld and whitewater world for 21 days, 2 adults for about $110.
I did look up the yearly vip pass for 99 pp, but am happy with our option since we hardly ever go to qld/gold coast.
Obviously this booklet is only really good if you're travelling with someone else to halve your entry cost.

    • Don't think i will drive, the parking in Oz just wayy too expensive, plus i'm only there for 3 days, and staying in Brisbane too. So i'm gonna take train to the theme park in the morning, and back to brisbane at night.

      • Ok fair nuff!

  • Currently a shopper docket in Geelong for Unlimited entry to Dreamworld and Whitewater World, both parks from $59.99.

Some also through RACV or your states equivalent, but not all theme parks
    or the Entertainment books

    • good find! I shall go with that then! Thanks!

Shame there's not one for movieworld & seaworld! =(

      • That is a good offer, but always be wary of the price being "from"

Unlimited World Pass - Until 30 June 2014

Unlimited Entry to Dreamworld and WhiteWater World until 30 June 2014.

        • Plus FREE unlimited entry to SkyPoint Observation Deck
        • Plus Exclusive Passholder Benefits

        Adults: $89.99
        Child/Pensioner: $59.99

        • bleh..you're right, $59.99 is for kids

  • Ok…I am going in Nov with family and after searching for long time this is what i found…..

For all the three theme parks…look at http://www.giftitnow.com.au/gold-coast/experiences/3-theme-p… ……Like them on the facebook and receive 10% off……turned out cheapest for me…..

For dreamworld/Whitewater world….I've bought that from RACV. cheapest i found….also RACV refund policy says you can return the pass as long as they are valid…just in case you found cheaper deal somewhere…hope this helps…..

we are driving there…easy for family…parking around all these parks are free…and i suggest as you going there visit 'wet n wild' as well….none in my family can swim either….i don't think its required…

    have a nice trip…

  • We purchased the VIP parks (SeaWorld, MovieWorld and Wet'n'Wild) last year and they offered a really cheap renewal for another 12 months, so we are going again next May! I booked air travel with Jetstar Spring Sale at the same time and now only have to find car rental (NOT Europcar next time!). Looks like the VIP tickets are $99.99 (full adult price)and $79.99 for children (3-13) at the moment but offering free "Fright" nights etc - check calendar though. You cannot take food and drinks into SeaWorld and MovieWorld but I believe you can into Wet'n'Wild.

You do not need to be able to swim to enjoy Wet'n'Wild. You get wet in some of the rides and you don't have to go out of your depth if you decide to try the Wave Pool there. A siren sounds when the wave function starts at regular intervals too. Really nice separate pool theme area for the very young children too … with ample seating for the patient and weary adults.

We will be visiting DreamWorld and WhiteWaterWorld this time too but I don't think you would have enough time to do all those parks in the three days. Would suggest you take your time and spend one day at each park with the VIP passes.

Your family will have lots of fun!
