Lego City and Lego Friends Packs Usually $30 down to $15 at Woolworths

370

Was found before by sarbear for $12 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/118855) but seemed to have been a local special. Today I found a stack of them (lego friends 41007 pack and lego city 60023 and 60013) being sold at Woolworths (Bentleigh, Vic) for $15 which is still a pretty decent discount. Photo attached….

  • Seriously good prices for lego

  • Just this store only or has anybody else found them in other stores/states?

  • when you say Woolies, do you mean the Safeway supermarkets or the larger clothing, electronics etc. stores please?

    • +2

I've called a few Safeway supermarkets (Vic) and the LEGO is in the christmas toy section, but is not marked down. However sales people at two stores both said $30 was too much and the items will not sell and will likely be marked down soon, so keep an eye open :)

    • It's branded Woolworths now, but it used to be a Safeways….

      • +6

For the record it is/was Safeway (no plural), and it's also Melway (again, no plural) !!
        (But it IS Woolworths!)

Gee I hate people like myself!

go take your cash out of a ATM machine, and use your PIN number… dont forget to use it at Myers. ;)

        • +1

Fair call. Of course after all those dots I might have been going to add "car park"… and you don't start a sentence with "But"…. or use two exclamation marks…. :-)

My pet ones are "SSD drives" and "PIN numbers". I wonder if there's a self help group we could join?

        • love all you're work! :)
I just love coming on here and seeing all the bargain's.

        • i up-voted you shmahoo just in case you down-voted yourself.

          edit - you too spaceman

        • … and Harvey Normans. That one really irritates me for some reason.

        • +2

          your welcome ;-)

+1 for being a grammar Nazi.

          @Shamahoo

          love all you're work! :)

For the record it is "your (posessive) work" and not you're (to be) which is a contraction of "you are".

Gee I hate people like myself!

It's okay to like people such as yourself.

        • sfx: woosh for the first, but a +1 for the second…. <grin>

        • +1

          your welcome ;-)

You're welcome.. While we are all being grammar nazi's

        • +2

For the record, it is "possessive". ;]

  • Great price for lego

  • +1

Yes if anybody does find them please confirm stores - I'm looking for stores in WA - willing to travel as these are good prices

    • Woolworths Dianella Plaza had the Lego reduced a couple of days ago. I got the Planes Duplo for $10 (half price) and I saw some Chima packets for possibly $7 or even $3.50, sorry can't quite remember their price.

  • +3

$12 at burwood heights and Chadstone Vic.

    • +2

Negatory. Just visited Chadstone (8pm Friday night) and they are $30. They said they were on sale LAST WEEK. They even scanned one to check.

      Lies lies lies.

we all got trolled =(, just like he said about the Lego Sydney Opera House for $300 at the Sydney Opera House.

        • -2

          Neither was a troll.
I was at Chaddy when this was posted.. so i looked.
I live in Burwood East so I looked..

As for the lego Opera House The price was correct.. its what i paid?
Shall i upload my CC statement to prove it?,… Actually won't be doing that.
Maybe i should get the 4 friends who live in Sydney who also went and got one when i saw the price to come on here and confirm it maybe?

          At 4pm at Chaddy
          at 4.30pm at Burwood Heights

If the price was changed at Chaddy since i was there, probably means it was a price error that has since been fixed. Not my fault. I intend to go to Burwood later this morning and check again.. see if the price has changed back to $30 since my visit.

I am not and never will be a "troll" i state what i see in the hopes of sharing the deals or helping with the deals when i can.

        • reading on.. seems i won't need to go to BH and check as it appears at 8pm the price had changed back their also.

        • I've seen enough Judge Judy to discern more BS in your reply.

It just doesn't ring true at all.

First you're in Sydney, then you appear in Chadstone, but you live in Burwood Heights.

Amazing Spiderman you are. Maybe that will be your next discount.

        • -2

If you're relying on judge Judy to determine truths you really need to get out an get a real life and education. I can't believe you wrote that.

        • Was on Holiday in Sydney
Live in Burwood Yes.. work in Chadstone… They are literally 10 minutes apart… your issue?

  • By the way, that's $30 at shopforme. RRP is closer to $40, and US$30 over the pond.

Polaris (Bundoora) VIC is a NO

I spoke to another Bundoora VIC store, and he said that 2-3 weeks ago there was a directive to mark down all "non-standard" toy lines, but NOT Christmas lines, of which these Lego sets are supposed to be. So his comment was "These are not meant to be marked down, but get 'em if anyone has made an error and marked them down."

  • Hallet Cove (SA) has the 'planes' duplo for $10 (Save $10) was thinking to pick some up myself, as they were cute.

    • =( I went there too, what a bummer!

      • I assure you at 4.30pm they were $12 and now i wish i had bought some so i could show it.
