  • Lols, i tried buying this earlier in the week. They ended up giving me a $5 voucher because it was out of stock. I didn't even get the 'in stock' email this time.

Ridiculous price for a game on a now defunct console, even if it is a good game.

Play on the Wii U, purchase and then play on dolphin. It at least satisfies those with moral compasses. It's also great for those who want the game before the forthcoming 'X' comes out. I prefer to buy games for legitimacy, also a driving force for me to finish it.

Considering this game is out of print, save for the new copies in the US being sold as 'pre-owned'. It's actually quite hard to find for a decent price as it goes in australia for close to $100. This unfortunately is actually a bargain price, not a great one people would agree on but it's still a bargain.

This is actually a pretty good price. This game frequently goes for over $100 on eBay Australia. The very lowest price I can see it for over the last week is $62.99 from the UK - most are upwards of $80.

    • isn't this the game, gamestop we're opening brand new games and selling them as brand new, because the 2nd hand copies were worth more than brand new ones, even though they were 2nd print games?

  • Why not just softmod your Wii?
It's pretty easy and straight forward.

PS. Xenoblade Chronicles is a great game!

I like Ozgameshop, but did they raise their prices? They seem to be a bit more expensive lately.

Yes they have, this was in stock earlier in the week for about 49.99 or around there. I had tried purchasing it but got an 'Out of Stock' notice and received a $5 voucher. I don't mind if I don't get this one,i'll get another $5 voucher again.

  • Good price.

I got my copy from ozgameshop for $38 April last year but its tempting to buy one to stash away for a few years seeing as they already go for so much on ebay

    • I think they did a reprint of this game as there are other stores who now have this instock.

      • In the US, gamestop has started printing both Xenoblade Chronicles and Metroid Prime Trilogy and selling at around $50 'preowned' while the copies are new. Quite possibly the same thing at this moment. EB hasn't had them so i'm not too sure.

        • Question - how would Gamestop have initiated printing of more games? Is this legal?

Edit: Just read that they were key in having the game distributed here initially - and this would have been a second, legal printing.

I'm pretty sure they were charging about $90 for these 'pre-owned' games, much higher than they charged when first released, so even though its a legal printing its pretty dodgy what they're doing; also I've read on forums that there is a visual difference between these new prints and originals. I do believe the price has since dropped to about 60 or 70 though.

Anyway this is not a bad price for a brand new pal copy of a great game.

        • Mightyape also has this instock albeit at a higher price:

Apparently the sole identifying factor for a reprint is the Nintendo logo on the inside of the case http://imgur.com/a/Q0TRs

Doesn't really bother me either way - just want to give this apparently sensational game a go :)
