What's this cable?

Hi.
I obtained a PSU out of an old computer but don't have the power cord. What's it called ( http://www.techfuels.com/attachments/latest-hardware-news/16… ) See the back of this.

Also can someone recommend a decent place to buy these so they won't burn (seen some bad pictures).

  • Apparently it's called a "IEC 60320 C14 connector" (with a C13 cable)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320_C14#C14

      • I think it's the C19 (horizontal prongs)
        Thanks guys

    • Actually the one linked in the picture seems more like the C19/C20 cable and connector, with pins parallel to the long axis of the PSU. OP might want to confirm whether the one he wants is exactly the one in the picture or the more conventional C13/C14 with perpindicular pins

      edit: beaten

      • I want the one that's in the picture. The pictured PSU is my PSU :)

  • Does anyone know if there's a difference between C19 and C20?

    • Male and female connectors. Unless you are going into a UPS, you need a C19 to standard aus plug.

      • Thanks

  • you can buy the plugs alone on on ebay for $4.58 delivered.

just use an old cable and DIY.

or replace the actual c19 connector with a standard. - removed from a dead pc power supply.

  • Be aware that that plug is rated for 16 Amps, which suggests the power supply will draw more than 10 Amps (more common plug). Australian household sockets are only rated to 10 Amps. If you draw more than this you could possibly start a fire (not likely, but possible).
