  • was going to order one, but found out this is more expensive than lebara mobile.

  • I'm not sure the argument about upgrading your internet plans to accommodate a VOIP service. VOIP using very little bandwidth. Not too bad, but pretty unnecessary.

  • Well this has other benefits too. You keep the same number. You can always unplug it and leave the box on the side to collect dust which won't cost you a thing. As long as you've used the box withing 30 days from the purchase…

If you do not use it within 30 days, they will automatically charge you $39.95.

Unless you send the box back at your expense, to Western Australia.

  • is there any cost difference between ultimate and super plan? is there any contract?

    • I want to know too. Since 49c for STD (Ultimate plan) got my vote there but local calls are not that cheap! Fair use policy applies for STD but they didn't mention how many mins…so I'm kinda worry.
If I sign up and only use around 5 STD calls /month then I only pay for that 5 calls? Am I understand correctly or their is something fishy?

  • There are no contracts… Theres not much difference at this time.

  • Whoops I accidentally revoked my vote. :(

  • signed up one :) thanks machej

  • just realised it's r&d in UWA and Curtin, should support WA, haha

  • If you had the internet, which you would probably do otherwise you wouldn't be reading this, then you would be far better going through a voip provider. Untimed calls for 10c or less local/ national, and calls to mobiles for as low as 10.5c per minute. Even if you didnt have the internet you could use your mobile through the likes of Pennytel and get same rates just it will cost less than $9 per month, plus cheaper direct calls from the mobile than most carriers. andd there are option like callback which dont require either.

The black "Buzz Box" belongs to them.

They will charge you $34.95 if cancel your subscription for any reason.

    Also, be aware:

Your actual number that you call from must be registered with them

Their computer cannot and will not connect any calls that do not come from the registered number, regardless of where the black "Buzz Box" is plugged into.

It uses secret ANI technology, so you cannot just dial 1832.

  • Thanks for that alex… But the subscription is free so you don't need to cancel right?…

But the subscription is free so you don’t need to cancel right?

      Correct.

But you need to USE it at least once a week.

Otherwise, they will cancel your service and charge you $34.95
