By taking advantage of the current offer of Australia Post and Lebara Mobile, you can enjoy up to 2 months of unlimited calls, txt and 1.5GB of data by porting your number across to Lebara mobile, for $14.95 (usually $29.90 per month).

Here's how:
1 - Purchase a Lebara unlimited $29.90 recharge from Australia Post for $14.95 (50% off):

Note: I have not tested this but instructions are fairly clear so I assume it will work. I was looking at mobile deals to port lately and noticed this. Hope it helps.

  • 3g or 2g?

  • A good cheap option, but only low data allowance compared to others. Great if you're not a heavy user though.

    • Really seems odd they don't get on with just planting a 25.00 pm > 15 gb pre-paid option direct, or something with a little more Zeal, voda- fone. The >97%coverage players, each have a.conflict.of.interest such an extension would cannibalise their #data-ISP revenue base, I don't see an equivalent impact in vodafone. (Obviously discounting the perceived need to be seen to kowtowing to one's majors in a cozy cartel-a-thon.)

  • Will they give me 1.5GB of data in the second month do you think? Or just the calls?

    • +1

I think the data is per month and comes with the plan. So yes you get 1.5GB each month. Not sure though hope someone more knowledgeable can answer.

  • Also to mention they are on the vodafail network. But again cheap unlimited plan for 2 months.

  • nnnnnnnnn

  • will try it

  • Does anyone happen to know what the expiry is on the recharge vouchers from Australia Post? Could you stock up on them?

The only condition I could find is one voucher per person which you could get around by just going to multiple post offices.

    • Don't they want to see id? I had to show my drivers licence at Woolies.

    • i bought 2 vouchers from aust post. 1st they had trouble apply promo on their system so can give me voucher at 50% off then one lady mentioned 2me its one per customer then i further asked politely that if i have to que up again to buy 2nd for my wife? or she need to come in person with some ID?? AFTER FEW SECONDS OF silence on other side, was given 2 vouchers..

  • Success?

  • i bought 2 recharge voucher from local aust post, both have 0ver 10 yrs expiry date.

thinking of porting the umber to lebara at some stage, otherwise will activate new number.

    has any1 ported number successfully?

  • date.

We can buy a few and use until 10 yrs expiry??

  • Can confirm the process works. Ported in on the free sim using the half price voucher (expiry 30/06/2023). Port done in less than an hour. Sent the promo text, no reply or anything listed in online portal, but confirmed with their call centre that the second free month had registered and should automatically be applied.

A couple of things to note:

    • MMS (95c) and calls to 1300xxxxxx numbers (15c/m) are NOT included (1800 and 13xxxx are incl)
    • Getting through to their call centre has proven difficult. Long hold times and engaged signals over the past few days.

That said, still a good deal for an unlimited plan with 1.5 gb at less than $7.50 a month for 2 months. Thanks for posting OP.
