How to stop expired deals showing up

Hi,
Thanks for any help.
I have checked the button to stop expired deals in my settings.
Is there a way to turn them off proper?

    Go to Profile/Edit/Deals then tick the "Do not show expired deals" box.

    Just not that though some deals are labelled as expired, sometimes the rep may extend the promotion or coupon codes may still work.

    Thanks for replying. I had that box ticked as you suggested and it looks good in 'Deals'>'New'
    but say I go to 'electronics' 11 out of the top 15 have expired. With the dates already past.
    Perhaps it's just a glitch in the site??

      Currently that option only works for front page, not new deals page nor category pages.
