So we did the Suncorp bonus thing to get the $50 and didn't receive it. Emailed them and they said that we didn't deposit $2000 from an external source… we did though, I transferred $2000 from my Commonwealth account just after I opened the account…
Anyone else having an issue getting the $50 bonus?
Yeah I did just before I posted this whinge. I'm now awaiting their response.
i had my bonus paid automatically. i did a single $2k deposit via bank transfer
I had the Commonwealth Bank do the same thing to me over their bonus, I threatened with the FOS and they gave me the bonus straight away… Depending on Suncorps' response I'll probably do the same thing with them….
there is no need to come out with all guns blazing straight away. just be polite and supply any supporting information and hopefully they will sort things out.
Yeah that's what I'm doing at this stage..
When I went at the Commonwealth I was still polite and courteous, I just explained to them that I felt I had been misled by their advertisement and would ask the FOS to investigate to make sure everything was fair and correct.
I find most of the time people are more eager to help you when you are polite and calm.

Had problem transferring out to an external account as I typed the wrong account number but that is another story
I didn't apply for the account, but did you e-mail them back showing the proof of the transfer, e.g. screenshot of transaction coming in?
