RED ENERGY Do they accept credit card in Aust Post? Paywave with extra 5% off with ING DIRECT orange everyday card

Anyone in here using Red Energy?

I am thinking of using Red Energy but need to check something before joining.

Do they accept Credit Card payment in the post office?

We want to get their 12% discount for 24months. Then go to use our Orange Everyday card to pay so we get extra 5% off with this credit payment method.

Anyone know about this please comment

Thanks

Hi, I normally pay my Red energy bill using Amex through Red website and earn some QFF points.

According to their website you can pay in person through Aust Post by cash, EFTPOS or cheque. It doesn't say that you can use credit. So maybe you can't?

    • Hi,

I need a referral for Red Energy, I'm joining tomorrow…

      Thanks!

      • Sent you a PM.

  • I will be pretty sure to join Red Energy if they have credit facility with Aust Post for extra 5% paywave ING DIRECT

Anyone know any ways we can double check, who can tell me about this.

  • I jusy signed up yesterday. Did u also get the $100 rebate on your first bill?

  • How do you get the $100 rebate on your first bill? I saw it mentioned on their
Price Fact Sheets – New South Wales at http://www.redenergy.com.au/page.html?price-fact-sheets-nsw but couldn't see it anywhere else on their website.

    • This is a Parkinson’s NSW promo for NSW customers only: http://www.redenergy.com.au/page.html?products-offers-parkin….
I wonder if this will work in conjunction with the $50 refer-a-friend bonus but let me know if you want to try anyway.

      • That promo only comes with a 5% pay on time bonus instead of the standard 12% for NSW. Was hoping for $100 rebate + 12%.

  • Not directly related to Red Energy, but I still have my Gas with Origin and was able to paypass the bill at my post office (broke down two payments of $98). $10 discount, happy with that :)

Going to try that out with others bills I get.

  • If anyone here is still deciding to switch, check out a spreadsheet I put together comparing the majority of suppliers!
