Hey guys, first time poster so let me know if I'm not doing this right.
I am thinking of purchasing a 3ds xl, and after missing too many great deals on the console I am getting quite annoyed at my bad luck.
itglobalsale is selling the blue/red/silver models for $219 shipped, should I bite the bullet on this one? or do you guys think there will be a better deal coming up soon.

Hey mate, I am exactly in the same spot as you. I've decided to wait till the xmas specials because each year there are so many awesome deals. If you are super desperate then go for it, but if you can wait, then wait. Only like another month until shops go full speed. Good luck!
Look for a 4.5 or below firmware version
You'll get better deals after Xmas, there's also the Zelda special edition console, comes with new Zelda game for $269 from EB which is worth it if you want that game (and the console is cool)
To be honest i am not such a big fan of Zelda, didn't get a chance to play it as a kid since i was a playstation boy haha. The only games I really want to play on it are monster hunter and Pokemon. Do you guys think I'm better off with the psvita deal next week?
The Vita deal is great, I have both handhelds. Love em both, the Vita has more mature games with a good online network and the 3DS has better family games (and MH3U) but a piss poor network.
Speaking of the online, I tried using the internet browser on my 3DS once and I almost had a brain hemorrhage and died.
….It's probably not that bad, but you know.
