If they charged you GST (as in the Australian GST) they are required to provide you with a valid tax invoice.
Whether you are entitled to a GST refund will depend on whether you meet the conditions under the TRS scheme, see http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4646.asp

Getting a valid tax invoice out of google is a pain in the arse. They don't like paying tax!
It's well documented on Whirlpool as well.
Either a lot of the information floating on the Whingepools is outdated or I was very lucky.

Could you please send me an Australian GST tax invoice for my order

Google Play store.
I do not have a GST registration number or any other registration, so
the invoice should just be written to the name and address that was in
the original order. It should also feature the words "tax invoice"
and the Australian Business Number (ABN) of Google Asia Pacific Pte.

I have claimed GST for my nexus 4 at the TRS. You have to ask for a tax invoice.
Just do what lurker said. I did exactly that and got a response in pretty much 10min saying they'll give me a response tomorrow. and today when I woke up I got the tax invoice in my inbox
Call customer support. Tell them you need a tax invoice and you have copy of what it looks like. They would send you a email, reply back on it and attach invoice (from link below). This worked for me with no hassle. I am sure it would work for you too.

can I just made up a tax invoice like your photo?. I thinks we could do it easy on ms word
ofcourse you can fraudulently obtain benefits from the govt, lots of people do it (at their own risk)!!!!
I used to place an order with tax appeared on it, but then with some reason I cancelled it. Just about 20 mins ago, the new order I placed shown no tax on it!! Then I called Google customer service but obviously they didn't know what happened (or at least they don't want you to know what has changed). Did anyone have the same issue like me? Cos I want to claim TRS when I travelling overseas. Wait for any reply! Urgent!
Just placed an order (Wednesday night) and order confirmation said no Gst included. So maybe they changed something?
Well they'll have to change it back soon! "Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd." is registered for GST so they'll have to include GST in their prices!
Just called google to ask for a tax invoice. Was told that from Dec 2nd onwards last year, they no longer have to pay GST so my tax invoice will show zero GST. So much for TRS'ing my nexus 5 :(
Did they send you an invoice though? I'm currently dealing with someone from Google, who is adamant that as they don't charge tax, they won't issue a tax invoice. This is getting annoying.
you can insist to have a tax invoice, however there is no tax/gst component charge.

Did u have any luck getting a GST invoice in the end though?No, I didn't - the order/invoice doesn't say "Tax Invoice" on it, but it does say it includes GST…of $0.00.
So this effectively means we can't get TRS refund for all Nexus devices purchased from google play store?
I just found an easier method:
Go to pay.google.com and click on the transaction. Then click on "Download Tax Invoice"
