  • Change the price in the title

  • Telstra LG Optimus L3 FOR $290

That doesn't sound cheap… Why is this a bargain ?

    • looks like it should be $29

  • I thought about posting this one but thought someone had covered the entire 1 day sale already. Now that I look through my mail I guess no one did.

    • So IS there a post for the one day sale? I can't find it on their catalogue page, and we don't get junk mail delivered.

      • Don't think so give me a bit and I'll take post some photos for you.

      • Here ya go hope the quality is sufficient http://imgur.com/a/w8TTW#0

        • Thanks for that. I appreciate you taking the trouble to do that. :)

        • no problem hope there's something there for you! =D

  • comments from last time: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114511

  • Also, looks like the LG Optimus L3 II (Emphasis on the II.
Slightly quicker than the original (also Android Jellybean)

… For me, it might make a decent cycle computer

    Type IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen
    Size 240 x 320 pixels, 3.2 inches (~125 ppi pixel density)

    Memory
4 GB (1.6 GB user available), 512 MB RAM

    OS
    Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)

    Chipset Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon
    CPU 1 GHz
    GPU Adreno 200

The performance should be better than the previous E400 L3. The not so good part is the small touchscreen and low resolution.

    nvm

  • I believe the Huawei Y201s are still around at $39 - enough said.

The link you have provided goes to the Big W homepage… Where is the specific mention of this deal? The current Big W 'Christmas Wonderland' catalogue has no mention of a $29 deal on this phone, and the Big W website lists the item as being $69…

Am I missing something that everyone else sees? Where is the proof of this $29 price?

A link to a webpage stating this price, or a picture of the catalogue entry (inc price) would help.

    • Yes, i could not find it at bigw.com.au too.

    • updated - added scan of 1 day sale catalog

      • Thanks for that, but… The scan shows the ORIGINAL LG Optimus L3, NOT the LG Optimus L3 II (which is what you have indicated in your post and in the title, "Telstra LG Optimus L3 II E430"):

        LG Optimus L3 I: http://www.electrony.net/media/2012/03/lg_optimus_l3.jpg
        LG Optimus L3 II: http://www.androider.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/LG-Optimu…

You might want to amend your post to show the details of the LG Optimus L3 I. Still a pretty good deal. I would rate LG higher than some other manufacturers like Huawei.

original title was Telstra LG Optimus L3 FOR $290 @ Big W Starts 9th November

mod edited it as price was wrong.

          have changed it back.

    • Saturday one day sale- not active yet.

  • NextG right?

Hmm.. Actually it seems like it's 900/2100 mhz.

  • +2

That looks like the old model!!!!!!!

    • You are right…

The title is false and misleading

      • original title was Telstra LG Optimus L3 FOR $290 @ Big W Starts 9th November

mod edited it as price was wrong.

though, these can be upgraded to 4.1.2

  • it states 800mhz and scrimshaws link shows 1ghz.
This phone is being cleared out, so I'd say it's the e400

    • This phone is being cleared out, so I'd say it's the e400

      I think you're right, it's this one…

  • The 800MHz processor is the LG Optimus L3 E400.

The LG Optimus L3 II E4xx has a 1GHz processor.

  • Think we can use this with the Cheapcast app to emulate the chromecast?

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2402387

    • Anyone??

      • well neither of these devices has video out sooo….. I'm not sure what your asking if your aware of this. As a chromecast remote I don't even know if you can do that on gingerbread or maybe it's built in the apps themselves haven't played with chromecast yet,

  • The phone is actually very smooth/fast for basic tasks.

    • agreed works fine as a extremely basic backup phone or as a wireless security cam on stock os (you might be able to install 4 apps with the room they give you). Rooted and running ICS with 1GB app partitioning makes it significantly more useful although you lose mobile data or at least it doesn't work for me seems to work for others so ymmv. also unlocking it's only $2~ or so, so thats pretty awesome.

    • If anyone can't be bothered going to Big W on Saturday, the same phone is selling for $34.50 (50% off) at Woolies from tomorrow for a week…

      • And that's 19% extra than the big w deal. Money or time? ;)

  • hwy is the ebay price for UN lockable?
    typo or just an error?

    • +1

hwy is the ebay price for UN lockable?

      ??

ebay search for LG L3 unlock gives unlocking from ~$1.70 or so.

      • Used ebayusr UnlockDoctor for mine works fine.

Once bought this mobile for using it as a stocking trading device. Although it's similar processor to Huawei Y201, it's indeed running faster than that. But something weird and need to pay attention is compatible problem. It's just do not work ( even refuse to install it) with my daily used stock trading software. I've tried this software on almost all cheap android devices on market. All works well except this LG and Telstra Uno. So if just for normal use, it's a great cheap mobile. But if you use some special software, somewhat risk in it.

    • What software and device do you use daily for trading?

      • CMC and IG CFD trading. LG works with IG, but not CMC

  • Both of those phones are 320x480…

    • Bit too low for todays standards, but if it's only for calls & simple tasks, all good.

      • makes a great pocket casts podcast player for walks/runs ect. when you don't want to risk your 600$ phone being broken.

  • anyone thinking to price match this in Office works?

    • You. I like you. Won deer if they would..
