Non-solar garden lights in bulk

Hi all,

I'm quite new to this whole garden light thing. Basically I need a few dozens of small path lights that uses 12V electricity for a project. I've checked both Bunnings and Masters and found individual lights at a cost from $6 to $40 each.

Is there a cheaper light by the dozen? The transformers and cables I've budgeted for, they cost heaps so I'm hoping to save on the lights itself. Lights need not be pretty, something like those little solar plastic lights on a stick. It have to be elect, not solar as they won't see the sun much.

Anyone knows a local website or store?

Thanks.

  • Have you considered solar with remote panels?

I'm considering these but don't know how good they are: http://www.ikea.com/aa/en/catalog/products/40225031/

  • Thanks daveaus. I think the Ikea ones wouldn't be too bright; if only they list the Lumens then at least you know what to expect. One thing about those little solar lights is that they are pretty much useless in winter. I think the large ones are a different kettle of fish because of better solar cells but I may be wrong.
