Bata Hero Lace Up Safety Boots $79.90 Delivered @ Workweardiscounts.com

180

The Bata Hero 501 has long been one of our most popular boots mainly due to its comfortable sole and exceptional ankle support, while still meeting AS/NZS 2210.3.Safety Standards. This boot has a very impressive list of features.

A rubber outsole means that it is oil, acid and heat resistant to 300 degrees C. This allows people who work with sparks and flames, welders or even those in a smeltering plant to have a comfortable boot that really protects them. Under this protective rubber is a layer of softer Polyurethane to aid in the comfort and support of your foot. But that’s not all.

Bata's Torsion Tech Stabilizer prevents the boot from twisting to a point that causes damage, giving you a safe and comfortable fit. The Hero’s Poron® high impact heel insert absorbs shock as the heel comes down and constantly disperses the pressure for those standing on hard surfaces all day long. If that wasn’t enough, the boot has a breathable lining including a latex toe cap liner, as well as TRI density PU/Foam comfort insole. This is an excellent boot for those working on a concrete floor.

Bata has recently improved the Hero by adding a BOA stainless steel lacing system, but that’s another story. Now we’re set to clear the original Hero 501 (in black) and the Hero 502 (in wheat), so we’ve cut the price to just $69.95 a pair.

Cheapest alternative I could find was $100 + shipping and most places were $120-$130 + shipping. Good deal.

    • Thanks tantryl. We really appreciate your vote :)

i go by your words, i know these boot are very dear too ( without discount )

  • no size 8 :-(

    • Sorry about that. But yes, UK size 8 (European 42) is one of the sizes that we don't have in either colour. The 8.5 is the same length but wider, but that won't help if you have a narrow foot.

Cheers, nice deal, was looking for boots just last week, perfect timing.

    • Great to hear. It's awesome when things work out. Usually stuff goes on special the week after you buy it ;)

Ordered sunday got them on tuesday (today)
        Nice quick service!

  • Are these still made in Australia?

    • Australian made boots are a rare thing in this day and age. I think ony Redback is exclusively Australian made these days. Bata is a huge multi-national with factories all over the world. I think you'll find that these ones are made in the People's Republic.

Was looking for a new pair of boots for my late-night Batman-inspired vigilantism. These should fit the bill.

"It's not what you wear on your feet, but what you do that defines you."

  • I wish i have one of these when the pallet ran over my little toes some year ago. That wasn't pretty.

  • I bet you wish you had! Google "funny forklift fails" and you'll probably keep your toes out of their way in future.

  • Do I need them ? No.
Do I like them ? Yes.
And at that price I must resist, I must resist … otherwise how can I explain it to my wife.

  • Any good as Motorcycle Boots?

    • It's possible to wear these boots on a bike, though most people would avoid laces on a motorbike - in case they get tangled up. The steel cap gives you protection, but it also can make it a bit harder to feel your levers. So, this would be fine if you had a shirt trip to work, or you rode a bit between jobs on a farm, however, it's not really recommended as a motorcycle boot.

  • will these boots keep my feet dry in event of rain or should i seek alternatives?

    thanks in advance

Rain won't be a problem. Wading is a different matter. The tongue is sealed up to the fourth eyelet, so ankle deep mud or water won't get in to your boot. They are not waterproof as such, because over time water will get in through the stitching. Only gumboots are truly waterproof.

      • sweet thanks for the prompt response!

bought a pair, looking forward to receiving these! just ordered :)

        • They'll leave tomorrow afternoon. You should have them on Friday. It's good if you can break them in slowly ie a few hours each day for the first week or so. That gives the leather a chance to crease and stretch to the shape of your foot.

  • Any good as hiking boots?

    • +1

These are a safety boot, hiking boots are usually lighter.
Assuming you're an 11, each Hero boot weighs 1.15 kg. A hiking boot, like the Redback UABK https://www.workweardiscounts.com.au/redback-uabk-alpine-lac…, weighs 700 g per boot. Some people don't mind lugging steel caps around, though most people wear them because they have to, not because they choose to. The Hero is a strong solid boot which is very supportive and it CAN be used for hiking. Personally, however, I'd rather carry and extra 1.4 kg on my feet than an extra 2.3 kg.
