Panasonic PMX5 120W Hi-Fi System $197 ($6.95 P&H) Harvey Norman

320

Excellent unit for the price!

The sound is bright and clean with very good bass at low volume (no distortion). If you like the sound signature of the Sennheiser HD25/Amperior then I strongly recommend this unit especially if you are in the market for a micro HiFi system.

Model: SCPMX5DBGNS

You can have this picked up for free at your local HN or pay an additional $6.95 for delivery.

Most places sell this for $299+

Next cheapest:

Dick Smith: $299 (Clearance - Most places out of stock)
JB HiFi: $336
Bing Lee: $349

    • Nice! Although TheGoodGuys simply price beat Harvey Norman so technically it's not their deal. Same thing happened during JB's 20% Off Audio Sale. The deal ends tonight though with the exception of TGG where their prices won't change until they update it tomorrow morning (back to DSE price of $299).

Regardless, when it comes to retail giants I'll usually go with the one who is the cheapest or closest! :)

Although TheGoodGuys simply price beat Harvey Norman so technically it's not their deal.

your mistaken, its if you took good guys $196 into HN to get there xx% price guarantee taht would make it no deal….. as it stand this isnt a "Deal" because GG's advertised price beats your deal. sorry just how the game works.

        • But the Good Guys would never of changed their price if they didn't notice Harvey Norman's price first.

To be honest I would prefer to purchase from the retailer who originally offered the deal unless there are circumstances that prevent me from doing so e.g. location, bad past experiences etc.

Either way, this is still a deal regardless whether or not you purchase it from Harvey Norman or The Good Guys.

but, they did change there price, it now makes there price the lowest advertised price and thus the "deal".

and i agree with you about who you buy from, but that dosnt change the OzB rules….

the rules state, must be the cheapest advertised price.

          CHECK competitors prices before posting.

if you read the guidelines for posting the deal you would have already known this :)

        • Oh ffs, put a sock in it nosdan.

It's a great deal, and i want to encourage this guy Hirokuro to keep posting great deals, and i couldn't care less if there's a 100 cent difference between retailers.

          I'm calm!

Great deal, but 2 months too late for me :(

Probably discounting these as they have an old 30pin iphone connector.

You can grab a bluetooth adapter for $10 off ebay, which works with any bluetooth device (Android/Apple).

  • It's a good deal, but how about the sound quality?

    • "Panasonic's classy micro system boasts spellbinding sound quality. We’re impressed by the amount of new tech that has gone into the three-way speakers. It all adds up to a first-rate musical performance, bursting with fine detail and warmth" (IPC, 2013)

  • fairly sure this unit/model was on sale at David Jones couple of months ago for 215$.

i was considering it, but when i saw it in the shop i decided not to get it.
the speakers are very light and i like my music a little bit louder than soft. since i want to upgrade an average sounding unit this wasnt for me.

see it in person before buying is my opinion.
