      Sprung.

I've had enough of buying good bikes in Australia.

I get them from the UK instead. This same bike, but the 2013 model can be delivered from the UK for around $400.

Ironically Torpedo 7 is actually located in NZ!

    • hahahha nice find

    • It depends if it was $30 increase, or just not as much of a bargain. Discounted prices from suppliers might not have been as good last month.

Though, because the rep hasn't been back for over 7 hrs, I'm thinking it's more of an advertisement than a bargain.

aldi has some bikes on sale next week (sat 16), disc brakes and springy things in the middle for $179

    • fail to see the relevance? unless its at least a similar bike, there is no point in providing it as a better bargain.

Who cares - at least the Aldi one has a springy thing in the middle.

        • people that refer to "springy thing" should refrain from commenting on deals on BMX bikes unless they understand what those components are … "springy things" fyi are not good on a BMX :)

    • They don't seem to be listed online yet.

Torpedo7 has a sale on its bikes fairly regularly and this is a good price when it is on sale. Take a look at http://bikeexchange.com.au/ and try and find a BMX that will fit a kid under 12, as light as this for under $600. Most BMX bikes these days have 170-175 mm cranks (same as my MTB) so they are no good for smaller kids (under 14) - this bike has 145mm cranks.

I bought a very similar BMX from T7 for my 9 year old son about a year ago and he loves it. IMHO it makes a perfect kids bike as it is really light and very well made (good quality components). He rides it everywhere but loves taking it to the local dirt jumps/pump track.

Just note that although this bike has 20" wheels, they are not the standard BMX 20" (406 mm) but the larger/skinnier 451 mm size. This means you need to get different tyres and tubes than the standard 20" ones.
