We wanted to give OzBargainers and coffee lovers alike the best deal we've ever had, so here it is, 1kg of roasted to order Zimbabwean Peaberry beans with free delivery anywhere in Australia for only $24.95, our best ever price for this.
This bean's great black or white and we've had some fantastic feedback on it, it's a great way to be able to try specialty grade coffee freshly roasted at a fantastic price like this from such an exotic origin. In the cup expect a beautiful bright grapefruit acidity with slight hints of cherry, a medium body with hints of malt and cocoa, and a smooth well balanced finish. It suits any style of brewing and is fantastic with or without milk.
All roasting is done to order and dispatched in valved bags to ensure optimum freshness and maximum enjoyment of these beans.

Just to let everyone know due to the massive response to this offer, orders are taking roughly a day longer to deliver than normal, as we will always put quality first and roast to order. We've also extended this offer to the end of the working week to cater to this.

is it possible to get it packaged as 2 separate 500g bags? I'm not sure I can get through 1kg before it goes bad, and i hate wasting good quality coffee. (this way I can give away 500g to a friend, or freeze a bag without opening it if I have to)

No worries at all, if you go to our homepage, we've just put up a buy coffee bags page with all the options available, just put the 500gm bags through with your order and we take care of the rest :)

Now considering the violent and racist farm acquisitions in Zimbabwe that have occurred in recent history, how can we be sure that we aren't supporting this sort of racist and criminal behavior?

    • +9

Fair point definitely. The farm this comes from is actually one of the few remaining farms that hasn't been 'reclaimed' by the Zimbabwean government's land acquisition program. It's run by a family who has been on the same farm for nearly 50 years now in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe, an amazing feat in the current environment and one that we hope continues indefinitely. It's also run using water from the nearby mountain springs which is a fantastic way to promote biodiversity and better agricultural practices. We lived in Zimbabwe in 2003/2004 before ourselves leaving and assure all our customers that under no circumstances whatsoever would we support any enterprise that in any way condones violent behaviour in Zimbabwe. But it's great that people such as yourself are so aware of the situation in Zimbabwe as this awareness is hopefully going to one day help this country get the help it requires.

Thanks for that information, I am now happy to support your company.

Notwithstanding criminal acts - what is unique about Zim? Corruption is everywhere, in many forms… thus why single out the type occurring in the African continent? I think I agree, however, with what you possibly intended - taking corporate responsibility seriously.

      Edit: great response rep.

I consider this a very valid question. Not sure why any informed person would neg?

      Good answer rep.

I wonder how much this cost in Zimbabwean money, surely more than 100 millions.

    • Yeah things got so drastic, the economy now uses the USD, so gone are the thrills of calling yourself a trillionaire and carrying shopping bags full of money unfortunately.

Any 1kg fresh roasted deal, I will upvote! I can go on and on about how my tight arse self regrets buying 2kg and waiting 2-3 months before I can get another load of fresh beans!

    • Enjoy :)

Bit similar here, still going through the last order with you. Will have to miss out this time.

      • No worries at all, might catch you on the next deal we've got, definitely best to make sure the coffee you have is as fresh as possible.

  • Can anyone comment on these beans? Any comparisons - e.g., canteen, campos, merlo etc? I've occasionally bought beans from other suppliers on ozb, but haven't been impressed… fingers crossed!

It is quite sweet, and quite different.

My wife likes it in her flat whites, and I love it as espresso.

    • Glad you're both enjoying it and enjoying the way it suits a flat white or espresso :)
