  • I'd be interested, but only if it were possible to get FHA loans of 30 years, at 3.5%, with only a few % down payment.

    Other than that: no dice.

Anyone know if foreigners can qualify for those loans?

I'm not a financial advisor licensed to give investment advice (neither is anyone unless they explicitly say so) but I am very hesitant to invest there.

I just don't know enough about their economy or their market to be comfortable committing money to it. A lot of these "promoters" earn commissions off your investments so be aware they aren't neccessarily acting in your best interests.

  • Given how bad the US economy is at present, I would be hesitant to enter a market that isnt stable, and that you know nothing about

    cheers

I don't think a lot of people have got any idea how bad it is over there. the S&P is going to new records with cheap money from the FED creating a sense of safety, while the normal people are suffering. There are 2x as much people in the USA living of foodstamps as there are totally living here in OZ.
So these companies are seeing the perfect oppourtunity to suck in fresh money from abroad just before the next downturn comes.
And believe me it will come, the USA is flat broke….
In Spain they were selling nice 3 bedroom houses for 350,000 euro in 2007, the sky was the limit, then in 2009 when the sharemarket bottom was reached they were going for 250,000 , a bargain. In 2010 for 200k, in 2012 for 175k and now you can get them for under 150k. And all the time they were telling me, jump in so cheap!! But with the unemployment in Spain on 26%, youth between 16-30 year over 50% I don't see a return soon. Same in the USA, they are telling us the unemployment in the USA is just under 8% I believe, but that is not counting all the people who are not looking for a job anymore, without that pfffff.

There must be something better to do with your money.
