Sushizilla at the new Central Park complex in the city (opposite Broadway UTS) is having an opening special of 40% off food (drinks not included) for two weeks. Get in before the deal expires.

Well the two plate in the picture were a combined AUD 10.10. They are cash only at the moment. As a further benchmark, a can of Calpis (not included in the deal) is $2.50.

From my searches when I was trying to find prices, it appears that the owners are not Japanese. However, they hired a Japanese to oversee the menu and food preparation at their three locations.
They were advertising for staff, for these two new places, on Gumtree and via a staff agency (in English).
I can tell you that the staff working there are definitely Japanese. The sushi there is good, you can tell from the quality of the rice.

The new pic shows that dishes from the train are $2 - with several exemptions - at one shop (the Restaurant & Bar), and 40% off at the other store (the Express Store).
It now appears to be a reasonable deal for that area of the city.
I didn't remove the pic… neil added in the website. I had a large 6x10" plate of mixed salmon ( 3 slices of salmon sushi, 4x salmon nigri, 4 salmon sashimi - expect to pay $12-14 for this in the city) and a plate of grilled salmon sushi (6 slice -expect to pay $8-10 for this in the city). Hope that gives you an idea.
