Only on $69/month plans. Minimum cost $1656 over 24 months. Instead you can go for $40/30 days Boost plan + $420 Nexus 5 delivered from Google Play. Still cheaper when you include the $100 Google Play credit, and you get more talk time / text / monthly data.

    • Some people like the Telstra 4G experience (at the extra cost).

The $100 Google Play credit is probably there just to entice some people to take up the offer.

  • The $100 is the only enticement and I'm disappointed the phone is not subsidized more!

A Telstra 4G BYO member plan is $50 per month over 24 months. The device is $468.95 delivered from Google Play (32Gb). $468.95 divided by 24 months is $19.54 per month.

    $50 + $19.54 = $69.54.

Basically exactly Telstra's deal apart from the $100 Play credit.

When you consider Telstra subsidize the more expensive handsets a lot more, this is very disappointing. It's only $2 more per month more to get the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is a much more expensive phone.

I was hoping Telstra would do a Nexus 5 deal, but this is not enough to entice me at all. Very disappointed with Telstra (again).

There's no mention in the ad whether the price is for the 16gb or 32 gb version. If you scroll down the page and look at the specifications it says 16gb, which means that without the $100 play credit you're actually paying more for the handset…

  • telstra=theft liberals=liers labor=incompetence ect… tell us something we dont know

better value than the new nexus mb is the kogan nokia 625 at $229, its a 4G phone with expandable memory (unlike the new nexus) and the windows live-tile experience is a much better experience than andriod (I have a note2) or the iOS (had a ip4 with iOS7)

    • Wow that is a really decent price. Annoys me that we use Google Apps at work and Windows Phone won't play nicely with it though :(.

Unfortunately Windows Phone is the ONE operating system I cannot switch to :(
