  • Is there an AU 32GB version?

    • +6

It's not wise to pay a premium for a 32 version, as it supports expandable memory.

      • -3

I knew someone would say that.

16GB is actually 14.9GB. Then a few GBs of that is reserved for the OS.

Apps can't be installed onto SD card, so the only thing it's good for is media. Before Android 4.0 you could transfer installed apps to SD card, but they removed that functionality now.

The remaining 11 or so GBs of internal memory is not enough for my needs. My iPad 16GB filled up really quick. I'm not going to risk any more 16GB devices.

        • +1

You can't use the entire 14gb or so for app storage. I believe it is 4gb only. So yeah, its a waste to pay over the odds for extra on board memory. Then again I just paid $10 extra for the extra storage on the 32gb note so I'm good with that.

        • -7

Are you serious? That is stupid.

Now I can see why so many phones are moving away from SD card slots.

        • +3
        • +4

You can move to SD on S4 and Note 3.

    • Can someone plz explain where the heck $60 store credit is mentioned and how to claim it . Can I use it online only and what should I use it for . Another good deal that I don't need perhaps. Lol

  • $719 delivered for the 32gb Note 3 4G at Kogan or $659 for the 3G model.

    • -8

It's a great phone to give to any basketball players or other giants you know.

      • How about you don't tell other people what phone is good for them? You don't want it fine, other people do, as evidenced by the number sales of the galaxy note series (just google it)

        • +1

Just ordered a 4G model myself. Wife had a Note previously and I loved it, I bought a S3 4G last Xmas and regretted not getting the Note 2 at the time afterwards.

        • -3

Well this was a post for Galaxy S4. So if you taking my comment as telling people what phone is good for them, then would you not also interpret a comment advertising Note 3 in a S4 bargain post also telling people what phone is good/not-good for them? Except he did it first.

People will do it whether you like it or not. You must be new to this site.

If other people want a Note 3, no one is stopping them from posting a deal in a separate post. Nor am I saying they can't do it here. But if they do, I'm also allowed to say that's not what I'm after.

        • I don't recall telling people what was good for them? I simply added an option that people interested in the Galaxy range may have considered. What you did was quite different, you don't like the Note so you mocked not only the phone but those interested in buying it. That's quite an ignorant view.

  • How do u get $60 store credit

  • -3

Will OW price match the $60 store credit?

    • +3

Cash back and coupon offers are excluded from OW's lowest price guarantee. See link below. No harm trying anyway. Alternatively, go to GG and ask them to match OW's 5% :)

      http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/content/Lowest-price-gu…

      • -2

Alternatively, go to GG and ask them to match OW's 5% :)

Hmm, if I go back and forth I wonder if the two of them will be willing to do cascading price beating.

    • +2

Nope. They will beat it by 5%. So you get only $57 store credit.

  • How long is this sale going on?

  • great price

  • -1

gud guy is becomin mad guy now

  • good deal. if you buy online for store pickup, does that count as online purchase or do you need to register for $60 cashback separately?

    • As from their website:
"No need to make a claim if you’re buying online. All purchases made online that qualify for a store credit will be automatically issued one. You’ll receive your store credit via email no later than Thursday 28th November 2013. Store credits will be valid until Sunday 22nd December 2013."

  • Thanks OP, ordered one ;)

  • +1

I assume this is A-tick or AUS stock? As otherwise OW wont price match.

I'd have to say this is the FIRST good deal I've seen on this phone which I got back May from OW at $605 outright with 2 yr Aus warranty. Good to see price is dropping for the late comers…

  • Has anyone tried negotiating on the price?

    • $598 is best they can do at my local TGG.

  • hook up with a friend/or fellow oz bargainer and get the purchase over $1000 get $70 (140/2) back per phone…

only tricky part is how to split the credit as they may only issue 1 card…
receipt can be duplicated at checkout…

  • -1

I asked OW for white colour, and they don't have any white.

  • no more 5% off at OW, they have dropped their price now.

    • Their website still says they will beat any price by 5%.

  • Also I believe, that you can't go to TGG and ask to price match, and apply for the store credit.

"Customers making a purchase either online or in store, are required to pay the advertised or ticketed price of the product. No further discounts apply. The purchase must be paid for in full before the end of the Promotion Period."

  • Thanks, i just bought one on the way home from work, and then my car broke down. Inc 1000 repair bill.

    • +1

Sell the s4 to pay half of the bill?

  • Dick Smith had them for $598.

The S4 will allow you to move apps to SD card BUT only if the APP allows it so you can run out of memory so the 32GB would be good.

  • Has anyone got their GG store credit yet. I know it's before 28 Nov stated in their T&Cs but just wanted to know if they issue voucher before this date.

    • Same issue here, not recieved. I have emailed them twice now for no reply.

  • Me too. I emailed them and no response. Guess we will have to call them if not received by tomorrow!

    • Recieved mine now. The problem is now what to buy.

      • Not sure why I haven't received mine. Should I email them? Do u think u received because u emailed them?

  • Bring this deal back!!! I am one of few hundred ppl who missed out!!
