There is a rumour around Whirlpool's DS section that EB Games are cancelling orders because they made a mistake with estimating stock levels. Apparently those that get cancelled will get an email by EB.
Has anyone received such an email?

Haven't received anything since the initial confirmation email. Though I chose in-store pickup and was one of the earliest to put down a deposit so who knows?
Just checked the WP thread. Seems they overestimated the number of consoles they would be getting, or left the pre-order page open too long and are cancelling them starting with latest first.
I paid $60 in HORI accessories…here's to hoping that we don't get cancellation emails!
I ordered within the first few days so I hope not…. Picking up at midnight anyway. Btw, does anyone know if it's a UK console? I called Nintendo and they said they got allocated "Aus versions", but I recall the EB website saying they were supplying a power plug?
The Zelda 3DS XL does not have a PEGI rating so it should be an Australian console.
Neither of those contradict. Australian consoles come with a power plug. I believe it is a legal requirement that Australian consoles include a charger.
FYI I got told on Facebook that "It was only an issue with web customers If you didn't receive an email stating you wouldn't get your DS you should be fine!". Also someone on Whirlpool that ordered online on 24/10 and got a confirmation email.
Hey guys, just got an email, apparently some of the stock won't be arriving until the 29th (mine is one of them).
…so many issues with this console.
That's okay… those who get the console will not be able to download ALBW because we need to hold of registration before the 28th for a free Super Mario 3D Land copy.
I've got an email from them finalising the preorder…says nothing about cancellations though.
