Amazon ask to move digital content to .COM.AU

I was recently ask to move

-my amazon digital content to .COM.AU from .com.

Is there any benefit to this?

From my quick search, there is no benefit!

prices are higher on AU store for kindle books vs US prices,
since it is just digital and not real books, paying such a higher price is not worth it
USA gets books earlier than AU

So this is in fact a step backwards from getting cheaper prices..via purchasing from the global internet

Don't do it then. This is obviously just so they can charge down-unders the Aussie tax.

Haha saw this with Wiggles (not that I go there anymore), I remember checking out some shoes on both the Uk and AU site, $50 difference after conversion.

yyy rest of the world 9.99
XXX Australia 79.99

He chose rest of the world, they took the order, then emailed him he had pay $60 extra, he refused, and they gave in. He stated he bought it assuming rest of the world included Australia and it was a different delivery company.
