I only recommend buying the Wii U as your second system. Not enough library (as above) to dive in head first. The games will come though, its a repeat of the 3DS story.
Windwaker, super mario 3d land, super mario, rayman legends, monster hunter, scribblenauts unlimited (not DC).
All great games, some are available on other platforms tho.

The Target $299 wii basic bundle with just dance, nintendoland and wiimote and sensor is still available but you need to ask them over the counter. IMO its the best value bundle.
Even if you were to get a premium bundle you'll still most likely add a USB hdd. The other accessories that come with it - gamepad stand and charge dock dont include a charge dock for your wiimotes.

If it helps you I didn't get a Wiimote sensor bar. I had to dig out one of the ones from our Wii in the attic ;)

Best deal for this bundle atm, and JB are the only other seller of this limited edition set - and without Rayman.
Unfortunately though, as a Wii U owner, I can tell you the software library cupboard is bare.
Nintendo will have to start dropping their prices post Christmas, or the Wii U will go the way of the Dreamcast.
