Is ozBargain anonymous? I have just had a company contact me who knew my name to say thanks for posting their deal on here. Or Scotty did they contact you asking for my details?

I'll say that I have been asked numerous times to forward private information about a user (their email address) — so the companies can track down who leaked the deals instead of thanking them for it — but I have never given out any.
On the other hand, Google might be the one to blame…
Did they jsut use the "contact" option under your profile? I think you can turn that off as well.
If it is sent via Contact, then
- Your actual email is never revealed to that person.
- [OzBargain Contact] should be prefixed in the email subject.
