Looking for tyres for Honda Civic

Hi Ozbargainers,
I'm looking for 4 tyre replacements for my car and the size I'm looking for is 19565R15.

Happy to pay a bit more to get a decent one, but since I'm so clueless about brand/type, I really don't know where to start.

Hoping to get some suggestions on where to go for tyre replacement in Melbourne and which brand/model to get.

I can see that Bridgestone is doing this promotion:

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

bought my gf a set of EP100's for her corolla, 205/55/16 from jax worked out to be around $163 ea (this was during a buy 3 get 1 free) + $55 fit and balance. she says she doesnt notice a difference between that and her old dunlop SP sport..

I used to run re002s in 215/45/17 on my car, awesome tyre, didnt get to play around with them as much cos I changed my wheels later. these were $195 ea (again buy 3 get 1 free promo) + $55 fit and balance

now im using rotalla's. underrated tyre imo, just dont fang it around in the wet ($85 ea incl fit and balance)

i get my wheel alignments at my pedders, not the wheel joint.

  • OK, thanks for the review! Called up 2 places, they both recommended Continental (which is currently buy 3 get 1 free) over the Bridgestone. Might look into it.

    Thanks again.

I have a civic 1997 which takes 175 / 65 size and also got the Ecopia EP range. Really good tyres, low rolling resistance and long lasting. Good wet weather tread pattern. I got them last year on a buy3 get1 free deal, so avg. $90ea after balance/fitting/disposal.

  • I have a 2005 civic that takes 185/70R14 and replaced 4 Yokohama BluEarth AE-01 tyres at BobJane T-marts for $450 with thrust alignment in July this year.

Yokohama claims that the BluEarth is an Eco tyre which uses low rolling resistance tyre technology to take drivers up to 8% further on a tank of fuel for highway driving and up to 10% further on a tank for urban driving. But to be honest, I haven't noticed much difference in fuel saving. The overall performance of the tyres is good, provides steady grip even on a rainly day

  • Hi All,
Thanks for the suggestions. Changed the tyres to Continentals because of their special promotion, so I paid a total of $407 and so far I'm pretty happy with them, can running smoothly.
