40

Look for the packets in the display that have the red "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" stickers on them. By the way, these are the "Mountain Grown" beans which are much better than the standard Vittoria.

Bought mine at Supa IGA Waterford Plaza (WA), they have plenty in stock.

Best before date is August 2014.

  • What sort of person would buy this coffee? It was probably roasted more than 7 hours and 39 minutes ago, which everyone knows is the optimum timeframe, and any longer means you might as well be drinking out of a dirty ashtray. And don't they sell this "coffee" in supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths? ewwwwww! Too bad if you don't like running into every rand and bogan who've come straight from their state housing. Seriously, you'd have to be, like, feral to even want to drink this. If it costs less than $70 for a tiny little bag it's hardly going to be any good, is it.

    • If you don't mind drinking this stuff, then buying in bulk like this is probably going to be a very good deal. It's not like it's going to get any more stale.

FTR - Different coffee making techniques have different demands on what goes in to them. I buy very fresh beans and grind on demand for espresso at home (and the grind needs adjusting as the beans age over the couple of weeks I take to get through them), and I buy vac-bricks of cheap ground coffee for my drip filter at work. I wouldn't use stale beans like this for espresso… but IMO they're overkill for drip, where my aim is merely to drink something that tastes better than the Caterers Blend instant browncaffienedrink provided.
