Steam code for Saints Row IV is at $15US/$16.50 AUD. Amazon codes give uncensored version to your steam account. This version will include the mission that was forced to be cut from the AU release by the Classification Board. Will show up in your Steam Account details as Saints Row IV NA-ROW (ESD) http://steamdb.info/sub/29293/ (You cannot play online co-op with anyone who has the Australian Low Violence version purchased from Steam, GMG or Gamersgate). Remember to use US billing address while purchasing.

  Just want to clear this up, because my googling yesterday turned up conflicting info.

  Can somebody who has done this Amazon purchase and installed the game confirm it's the standard version, not the low-violence one? I know there's a separate app number for the AU low-violence version, but I also read that the download is IP based, so if you download from Aus then you'll receive the AU app number game despite buying the NA-ROW one. I'm hoping that rumor was just early speculation. Certainly IP-based downloading is something Valve could do if they wanted to do more to enforce region restrictions.

  Even so, getting the AU version wouldn't be a dealbreaker at this great price.

    I haven't played it yet, but I bought it from Amazon this morning (US CC address), and it installed with app id 206420.

    I can't find the app id for the Australian version so I can't confirm it is different.

    I bought an NA key on release to try and circumvent the censor. Everyone was reporting it didn't work, but I played the censored mission fine. Also, the censored mission is A LOT of fun, it really annoyed me they were forced to cut it. I did unlock the game via a VPN though to play it pre-release, so I'm not sure if that factors in.

      What is so 'evil' about the censored mission? Drug use? Pornography? Prostitution? Gore/mutilations? The censors here in Australia are all politically correct, orthodox Marxist feminazis.

  Steam only gives you the Australian version if you purchase it from the Steam store,an Australian version code supplied by GMG or Gamersgate or a boxed copy from EB. Look in the Account Details page in Steam. If it says Saints Row IV (AU) you will recive the censored copy. If it says anything else, you will receive the intact ROW version.

  Aside from the AUS censored version, I got an email from Gamers Gate offering a 'Europe' version.
  Are you able to play with people from each region or are they blocked off? I played with someone in England in SR3, I'm wondering if SR4 will be a no-go.

  i bought the game from another site that was not in Australia but as soon as i added it to my account it was converted to the censored version
