  • Last year was crazy! Lots of people with hesian bags loading up big on shoes clothes for ebay. Be prepared to get there early and play dirty!

    • +1

that sounds ugly and i dont like those type of people. dont they provide plastic bag when you purchase the items?

      • They certainly do provide bags but yeah, inside it can get messy but thats to be expected with such a sale. There is still plenty to go around though if you arrive early.

      • Yeah they do. But last year people brought their own huge bags, so when they ran into the warehouse they stuffed their bags without looking, then went off into a corner to see what stuff they grabbed and if they still wanted it. lol

        • WTF :\

        • 1 word, greedy.

Good bargain tho.. too bad I'm not in Vic :(

        • +1

Yep, i can vouch for that, went to one last year, people there are really really fiesty and territorial- if you go near their stash, they think you're trying to take their stuff and get really nasty :P. And all the small aparrels ie. soccer boots, gloves, wristbands, headbands etc. get snapped up pretty quickly. Only thing left for late goers are basically shoes(if they have any left) and t-shirts.
PS. People will probably also start lining up to the entrance by 7:30-8am. So if you really want to go all in, i wouldn't get there any later than 8am as the line gets LONG, when i say long- people are lining up along Springvale road long…

          • @Easy Money: Just to clarify I dont think this sale will be at their Springvale Road HQ, it'll be at the larger Princess Highway warehouse.

  • one more question, do they have like a huge line outside the store like the nike factory sale?

  • +1

ah make sure you queue up at 5am in the morning - otherwisse you will not get anything (unless you are the one with the odd size nobody wants).

Last time some of the shop owners came and took most of them aside after which there were only a few lucky people who can find the right size!

    • are you serious about lining up at 5 am? the flyer says opening time is at 9 am.

  • I didn't even know that Adidas had a warehouse there, I drive past everyday as well!

    • It used to be the old Pioneer warehouse…!

      • Are you sure? According to the address Adidas is at 865 Princess Highway, Poineer was at 2211 (across the road, closer to Monash University). 865 is next to a commercial equipment rental place, but that building looks pretty empty.

  • Was planning on heading sown there this afternoon, but after reading these comments am not sure now……..

Will there be anything decent left to buy?

Will I have to queue up?

    • +1

Yeah you can queue up today, but you'll have to wait until May 14th for the doors to open :)

  • lol, thanks for saving me zhenjie!

I genuinely thought it was today/this weekend :-0

    • At least you would have been at the front of the queue!

      • What queue. I would have looked like a tool hanging out the front this afternoon ;-)

  • It's hard work, but you can find some good stuff. Basically, you've got to dig through hundreds of boxes full of clothes. A bit of a lucky dip. Some of it is new (still in plastic wrapping), others have been returned due to small faults (stitching, discoloration), and the rest are items that didn't sell or left over stock from previous seasons. There is no order to the sale, just aisles of boxes, and queues to get in & queues to get out. Agree you need to grab what you can & try it on later once you've got tired of all the chaos. Also, make sure you double check all your items carefully before purchase. I've almost bought stuff that had a big square cut out of it.

  • In Harbour Town at the Gold Coast in Queensland, they just have a 30% sale on.

    See the link for details.
    http://www.harbourtownshopping.com.au/vip-club/online-specia…

I know it is not the same offer as this, but we Queenslanders get 30% off.

  • the sale looks sweet.thanks zhenjie.is the place accessible by public transport?

  • Is some of this stuff second hand? The PDF says samples, seconds and excess tock

  • did anyone catch any bargain? i didnt go because it was too much of a hassle

  • purchased around $220 worth of items. All was new, most likely excess stock. Had I purchased all these things at a shopping centre it would've totalled over $400!
The shoes alone are worth the trip, but its not for the faint hearted, two older Asian men got into a fist fight!!

  • Man what the heck, I went with some friends and just cruised in there…damn there were huge lines

  • +4

Purchased about $300 worth of gear - mainly shoes and random sports clothes.

Golf shoes for $30 are a bargain - plenty for women but you have to look a bit harder for men. They would probably cost around $100 or more retail. Other adult shoes for $40 are also a plenty. Not much casual wear.

Plenty of 'dry cool' or whatever material they call it stuff - mainly polos. Plenty of new ones floating around.

Lots of Adidas running shoes featuring 'bounce' technology.

Lots of Adidas and Taylor Made caps - at $3 for 1 or $10 for 4, I think they are probably the best bargain. One Taylor Made cap retail would set you back about $30-50.

Extremely hard to find any normal Adidas hoodies. Pants also hard to find unless you wear XXL (or 2XL).

Be prepared to get your hands dirty and to wait in line for about 2-3 hours to pay. Also be prepared to deal with narky customers thinking you are stealing their stuff or jumping the queue, and a narky security guard who takes his job way too seriously.

Also do not park on the median strip - everyone who did got fined. I suggest parking on the opposite side of Princess Highway in front of the residential houses.

To find the place, look for the big Wattyl sign.

It was good with loads of stock saved for Friday-Sunday. I LOVE adidas!!!!!!!
The queues weren't that long and only took me about 20 minutes for cash

  • I'm planning on going first thing in the morning. Thanks for the update guys!

    • Have fun there, mate :-)

It was a bit crazy on Friday. Lots of good stuff though. They seemed to have lots of pallets of stuff ready to go for the weekend, so if you weren't able to skip school or work today, you'll be covered tomorrow.

Be prepared to wait to pay though :)

  • Drove past at 8:40 and there was a queue up the street. There must have been 100-150 people waiting to get in and no parking near by. People were parked up on the median strip. So I kept driving :(

  • by looking at the comments here it sounds nasty. even worse than those nike factory sale. dont even wanna bother going.

edit - by the way what was the free gift? the flyer says free gift with every purchase

  • Free gift was a random rugby top that was either super small or super large.

  • Walked in and then walked straight out. There were just boxes of stuff on the floor everywhere. Queue to pay was huge! Waste of time.

  • It was really…bad…worst organised sale I've ever been to. Went there this afternoon (Friday around 2pm) and was lucky to get a parking right outside (and I mean lucky!). When I walked in all I saw was boxes everywhere and MESS! I'd say not to worry going unless you're either very large or are willing to hunt around for ages (which is what I did).

I didn't see any of the following:

    $3 - Beanies, Wristbands
$5 - Water Bottles, Waist Bags, Gym Bags, Wallets,
$10 - Infant Apparel, Small bags, Soccer Balls, Taylor Made Golf Polos/GLoves
$15 - Sweat tops, Hoodies, Vest, Tights, 3/4 Pants, Tennis Skirts and Dresses, Medium bags
$20 - Sandals, Football/Rugby/Soccer/NBA gear, Taylor Made Mens Long Golf Pants
    $30 - Rain Jackets,
$40 - Puffy Jackets, Stella Jackets

…which was really disappointing as the main reason I went was to get a bag and a hoodie/sweat top.

Alot of the stock was stretchy polyester type material.

They didn't have any prices up anywhere so you had to either ask a staff member (who half the time didn't know the price) or wait until you got to the register.

Sizes were terrible…almost impossible to find anything 'regular' sized…I saw maybe ten tops in the whole time I was there that were mens size S-L - most ofit was XXL or above. All of the mens pants I saw were XXL or above.
Any of the mens clothes that were 'regular' sized were pretty badly damaged - stained etc. I wondered who wouldpay ANYTHING for items which had stained collars or big yellow stains on them.
In terms of the womens clothes, they were all mostly singlets, t-shirts, shorts or skirts. They had alot of UK 12-16 singlets and tennis skirts. That was what most of the stock was…
I didn't see any mens swim gear, only womens costumes (one or two piece, most of which were separated)
And, saying all of that, ALOT of the stock was labelled 'sample', which meant that it either had international sizing (with no guide given anywhere at the sale as to what the corresponding Australian size would be (this might not be a problem for guys but it often can be for women)…but from what I held up it was mainly LAAAARGE sizes!
To make it worse, they didn't have any change rooms AT ALL (no, not even communal ones)! So nowhere to try things on - if you were unsure of your size you pretty much had to guess or try things on over the top of what you're already wearing.

I didn't really look at the shoes , but did hear several people complaining that when they had found one shoe that they liked they couldn't find its mate. They didn't appear to have a good variety of styles either, and it was hard to see what was mens/womens/kids.

Nothing was organised AT ALL, everything was just thrown all over the place.

I spoke to the staff as I left, and they said if you arrive in the morning, everything is organised. However, when they arrived (the staff - at 8am) they said the line was onto the street. However, according to them, it only took about 10min for the whole crowd to get in.

Anyway, hope that helps a bit…I expect that the crowds tomorrow will be big, seeing as everyone's off work. But get there early if you don't want to sort through mess!

By the way…as I drove away I saw a parking inspector with a big smile on her face walking around…bet they're loving this sale!

ETA: The t-shirts, singlets and skirts ended up being $10 each at the registers and swimsuits $5

    • that's what happens when you arrive 5 hours after a massive sale opens for the day..why would you expect to find anything? i was there on friday morning…
      $3 - Beanies, Wristbands - saw wristbands
$5 - Water Bottles, Waist Bags, Gym Bags, Wallets, - saw water bottles, gym bags
$10 - Infant Apparel, Small bags, Soccer Balls, Taylor Made Golf Polos/GLoves - saw small bags, soccer balls, polos and gloves
$15 - Sweat tops, Hoodies, Vest, Tights, 3/4 Pants, Tennis Skirts and Dresses, Medium bags - saw sweat tops, tights, vest, 3/4 pants, skirts
$20 - Sandals, Football/Rugby/Soccer/NBA gear, Taylor Made Mens Long Golf Pants - saw sandals, pants, and team apparel, mainly collingwood or adelaide but also saw chelsea guernseys and scarfs etc
      $30 - Rain Jackets, - saw these
$40 - Puffy Jackets, Stella Jackets

plus saw a lot more excellent items such as soccer boots, golf clubs (only 6 irons), plenty of socks

excellent sale and if you want to find your size all you need to do is look. spent around $350 all up but my stock is worth at least 1k - at resell price..rrp would be closer to 2k

and yeah of course the parking ticket inspector is going to love it - people are parking in no standing zones

Ye pretty crazy sales. Definitely the time to go is early morning when the new stuff is released. Not surprising if there isn't much left by afternoon.

What's with everyone posting positive comments but not voting positives!? :)

  • ALL SOLD OUT!! Was at the Adidas main office, where the sale was yesterday, with hundreds of people queuing up in front of an EMPTY carpark!! Went to the original location where a sign said all was sold out!
Why couldn't Adidas put a sign up a Sold Out sign at the carpark???
and why do people STILL queue!!? :)

  • oh man .. what a day it was.. mad place .. found boxes lying everywhere..the place looked liked a refuge camp..
wen i arrived there were people lined up with their "boxes".. i could see only few boxes of garbage..but still i kept searching religiously.. found nuthing.. but people who lined up after me had their boxes filled too . i dont khow how the magic was happening.. whole day wasted without a catch :( just 2 plain tees. and few hats..
i think the sale was good for those who went early..

so.. wens the nike one? :D
