Subscriptions to threads not even viewed

I'm receiving emails from the forums on comments to threads I haven't even viewed. Is there a glitch in the system or is there a hidden setting somewhere I need to change?

I keep "unsubscribing" and make sure all settings are "off" on the subscriptions page.

    There are, of course, 'sleep walkers' and 'sleep eaters'. Are you absolutely sure that you're not a 'sleep subscriber'?

    Edit: from the database backup I saw that you were subscribed to at least 3 posts as of 2AM this morning. Maybe the notification emails are from these ones? If not, please forward me the email. Cheers.

    A bit late to the party scotty, but for about a week I also received emails to threads I hadn't even visited.
    It has stopped now, so I assume you've fixed whatever it was?
