Hi Guys,

I am looking for a good laptop with i7 processor,8gb Ram and 1 TB hard disk and found following on dell website:

Would like to take advise from the experts on this forum. Please let me know if I can go with it or should I wait for Christmas and boxing day deals?

I always talk to a Dell sales person who can often reduce the price from a configured Dell product.

Saying that, the $600 off 'normal price' is decent. The laptop looks good for what it is, maybe the hdd is slow for these days, do you really need 1tb?

500gb hdd is fine..I am not so desperate for 1 TB HDD. This laptop comes with 32GB SSD as well with Full HD and blue ray player.
I have checked the products in the link but they look expensive(being refurbished).

Good question Saray, should laptop buyers wait until Christmas/boxing day to buy or find whatever deal they can find now?

if price and size doesn't matter but performance matters then go for dell precision mobile work station with 2 hard drive. 1 ssd, at least 128gb for OS and 1tb hdd for data. if this is too much then u may go for latitude series. good performance, business grade, within reasonable budget.
