  • Don't even like West Wing, and I bought it. Good gift.

    great find :)

Remember these are region 2 DVD's. Australia uses region 4 and some older region locked DVD players will be unable to play them.

A valid point, and to be remembered.

    • And some modern ones too! I love my PS3 as a media centre but it refuses to play my extensive collection of Region 2 DVDs.

Great Show! I have the last series (7) on DVD and still haven't watched it. May be I should start from the first series. Anyone want the last series (7) ?

  • pfft. maybe if it had Jack Bauer in it.

    but UK……

      He included delivery cost…

      • And it does have the pound sign in the post title, as a hint.

I love buying from Amazon UK, super fast delivery usually (within a week), and the customer support has been fantastic in the one time where they sent me something that was slightly damaged (replacement copy shipped free of charge, didn't need to sent the slightly damaged one back). The weak British Pound is really helping at the moment.

    • See my comment below, delivery is quick and also cheaper then local items (well you have to know your prices of cause and only order if they ARE cheaper).

Amazon UK is awesome. If it comes from the UK, it will come within a week. If it comes from Deutsch post, it will take two weeks.

Awesome prices with the weak GBP!

I put in an order last week!

Let's teach JB and EzyDVD a lesson for having rediculous prices!

    • EzyDVD has gone into administration (but is still operating). The owners lesson has been severe financial strife. Whether they've learned from it or not is another question.

  • It was a truly excellent and insightfully written show and this is a fantastic price.
I've scored a few good bargains myself from Amazon UK in the last couple of years. It's always worth having a thorough browse every couple of months, as with JBonline also.
I watched WW from the very beginning, persevering with Nine's acquired lack of interest over the years (culminating with simply dropping it altogether part way through a season) and eventually following the show to ABC TV.

    • Also,, DVD is the perfect way to see this series.
EVERY piece of dialogue is important, so you really do need to be able to go-back-and-listen-to-that-bit-you-missed.
We used to record the episodes to VHS and watch them later so that we could do just that.
It is the best piece of US TV ever made IMHO.

  • Excellent price. Been waiting to grab the complete series boxset, but didn't expect it to be at this price!

Awesome price. I paid $150 last year and that was a bargain then. The greatest TV show ever made - in a league of its own.

    • Fact: not as good as Dr. Who.

  • Belated mothers' day pressie.
Got the thumbs up from "'er indoors". :D

I recommend Amazon UK (bought a item) shipped on Friday and it got deleivered on Monday (3 days later) just normal postage.

  • (( Okay, refreshed and it's now there… ignore me. ))

Buying a US TV show from the UK to watch in AUS - classic! I'm also a fan, watched the very first ep on TV, good ol' POTUS!

    • And FLOTUS wasn't too bad either…

  • Be careful. Amazon UK is region 2 whilst Australia is region 4. You need a region free DVD player.

Great deal. I watched maybe the first 4 seasons before Channel 9 decided to put it on in the early hours of the morning. Many region 2 discs are actually dual regioned (2/4) so you may not need a region free player to view this.

Got my copy today. Tested a few discs in the set, and they appear to be dual region (2 and 4). I tested a disc from the first, fourth season and the seventh season, so there could be a chance that some of the seasons in between are region 2 only, but a very small chance of that in my opinion.

  • Got my set today and my WW box was all smashed up in the corners and torn. Very annoying after a two week wait. It was sent via Deutsche Post with no bubble wrap or padded packing inside the box. Very sloppy for a company like Amazon who I expected would have packaging down to a fine art.

    • +1

If you make a complaint they should replace it.

  • Hi ozpanda, do Amazon customers have to accept that result?
I'm sorry to read about your poor Amazon / Deutsche Post experience - with the blame on Amazon for negligent packaging. :(

I received my COTD wool quilt on Friday and am just waiting on the WW set.

  • I received the delivery this morning. All in fine shape. The box sits on a kind of cardboard tray which protects the bottom and sides. Fortunately for me, the top was unscathed too. :)

    No complaints here. :)

The items I have ordered from Amazon UK (even the items coming from Jersey (which Amazon's T&C state CAN'T be brought from where I live (but they do sell and dispatch those items to Australia anyway)) have been way cheaper then the local Australian prices and delivery is very quick (7-10 days from ordering to delivery), thats quicker then COTD which is based in Australia! They have DVD titles and books etc which you can even get in Australia from a retailer.

    Positive vote for me.
