Does anyone know which one is the best cashback websites for hotel booking on expedia au? I'm a founder member on starthere.com.au, on their webpage it says 5.4% cash back for expedia au. However, further down the page it also mention different specific rates, as below:
Car - up to 3.75%
Flight - up to 0.75%
Hotel agency - up to 1.5%
Hotel merchant - up to 4.5%
Package - up to 2.25%
So if I make a hotel booking with expedia, will I get 5.4% or 1.5% or 4.5%?

When I booked with expedia.com.au, I found that when I went through one of those cashback sites (which you have to do for it to be tracked), the price actually increased slightly. I can't remember the amount, but it increased by slightly less than the cashback amount I'd calculated (like you I wasnt sure, so I played conservatively).. I think I may have been net up $20 on a $2500 booking, after having to pay $80 more going via their website.
Given I was having to pay out more to then claim a cash back - I opted against it as I dont think its worth the risk of the cashback not paying out.
Might be worth a close check to make sure that if the price changes, you're happy to still go cash back.
