Ok, so when we travel, we try and visit new destinations as much as we can. We have upcoming holidays due in January and need to add another place to visit when we go to Singapore.
Will be 2 adults & a 3 year old & a 9 month old. Looking for a relaxing place with calm swimming beach, attractions to visit, cheap to eat & drink & some shopping for mum :). Places we have already visited are, Bali, Phuket, Koh Samui, KL, Bangkok, Hanoi, HCM, Hoi An, HK, Langkawi, Penang

+1 on this. I have been there 5 times and it is fantastic. The beaches are lovely and it's so easy to get to. It's 1hr behind Singapore so you arrive approx the same time you leave. You do need to buy an Indo visa just like Bali but it's not that much at US $25 each.

The Marine Park Life and the Sentosa is good to visit at Singapore. You'll be amazed of what's Singapore can give you. The Universal Studio and the Marine Bay Sands. Singapore may be just a small island but it is fully-equipped.
What time of year is best weather for Singapore?
It's almost on the equator so it's always warm and humid. However there are two monsoons a year which result in slightly more rain those periods.

Try Bintan Island.. it's in Indonesia… half an hour by boat (from Singapore). Hotels are significantly cheaper than Singapore.. and so are everything else (food, shopping etc)
