Western Digital 1TB Green Power for $130

130

Western Digital 1TB SATAII HDD 16M Cache Green Power from Umart.

Sorry I think Umart don't deliver but Its a good deal for Brisbane people:P Only 6 bucks more compared to the 9289 deal and its a Western Digital too. However, no delivery but I think its a good deal.
They currently have alot of stock at Milton, well more than 10 so don't know how much exactly.

There's also Western Digital 1TB SATAII HDD 32M Cache Green Power for $140.

So 10 more dollars for more cache

Not a bad price for the WD10EACS (4 platters, 16mb cache) if you can pick up. If you require delivery it would probably end up being better value to get the WD10EADS (3 platters, 32mb cache) for $144 at 9289.com.au http://9289.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89… as they have free Australia wide delivery at the moment as well.

  • Umart does deliver, at least they did the last time I bought from them (~12 months ago).

  • Perth users can pickup the 32mb cache EADS model from PLE Computers for $129 :) Postage by Australia POST is only $12 (to all states I think too)

  • Good price.

But I wouldn't get a 4 platter 1TB drive today, there are many 3 platter drives out there now. Less platters = less heat, less power consumption & theoretically more reliability. I don't care about the cache it's just the platters, the price is lower but so it should be, these are old drives, I'm surprised they aren't even cheaper to be honest.

  • I'll rather get WD1001FALS instead ….
