Gym/exercise clothing & shoes

wiggleh needs to get less jiggly.

Cheapest place (online/physical stores) to get decent threads for excercising in?

For the shoes, brick and motar shop suggestions of where to go to be able to try on some sneakers and ensure I get a comfy fit would be much appreciated. Oh, and if anyone can suggest specific brands/models of shoe that offer toned down, NON-FLURO designs in trainers would be amazing. Why do they make gym shoes so ugly!? I just want something black!

Thanks in advance

  • What exercise? Really any clothing that is comfortable and light weight will do. But are you doing weight lifting? Running? Crossfit? Clothing choices can change (eg. A tshirt if doing squats so the bar grips doesn't slip when you get sweaty, I prefer long pants, or at least long socks for deadlifts, etc.) and shoe choices can change (weight lifting shoes, 'barefoot' type shoes, etc).

But I probably am getting ahead of myself. Simple tshirt, shorts, and crosstrainers (Nike, Adidas, New Balance) will likely suffice. I order clothes from the hut or similar if dirt cheap, otherwise go to Target. Shoes I get from any shop I walk by, or for more specific types I go online (eg. IronEdge)

    Decent threads???

You go to the gym to train not look like a Nike spokesperson. Wear anything that's comfortable and you don't care that might get trashed in since you're gonna be sweating and washing it all the time.

Hit up Target/BigW/Kmart for cheap shorts etc but get something with stretchy material or else they will rip easily and won't give you mobility.

Shoes I can understand cause you want to run/train comfortably and getting blisters puts people off of training.
I personally like Mizuno inspire 9 or Brooks GTS # (what ever # they're up to now) they cost a fair bit in Rebel etc but you can get them on EastBay for 20% off since coupons come around quite often. They will last you for ages and are super comfy.

If you're gonna squat or deadlift or in general any lifting exercise just do them in flat shoes like converse or cheap knocks off from Target/BigW/Kmart, you go to train not look like a model ;D.

  • BigW often has Slazenger on sale, can get some decent gym clothes cheap
