purchased the CX980 clip on earphone the other week from oo.com.au and the earphone sound terrible. Not as good as the review i had seen online. No bass whatsoever even when i use Bass Booster from my iPhone 4s Music Equalizer. Would not recommend it to anyone. I am not a bass big head or anything, but this earphone bass function is basically non-existing. My AKG K450 headphone sounds much better, and that's without using any Equalizer settings on my phone.

I am still look around for an earphone that sounds comparable to the K450 if anyone here can recommend one that would be greatly appreciated too.

    • Did you buy CX 980 or MX 980?
These are totally different models. The CX 980i have plenty of bass:

"After experimenting with both the pink and white tips, we discarded the pinkies, as the last thing the CX 980i bass needs is a boost."

"there are two sets of silicon ear adapters, so you can choose between balanced or bass-driven sound simply by switching them over. However, no matter which option you go for the overall sound is rather bassy with a lot of bottom end and no sharp edges."

    • As far as I know only the mx980 has the ear clip. That is a earphone not an iem and is meant to be neutral sounding.

Also these high end earphones/iem need to be driven by a external amp to experience its true potential.

Your iPhone is not going to be powerful enough to drive these.

  • BE AWARE!!!STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

They sell grey import stocks that are not covered by local manufacturer warranty!!! However, you will be told they are Australian stock. Very doggy!Stay away!!!

Just purchased a Nikon camera and lenses from them and I was told they are all Australian stock. When I took them back to office (30 mins after purchase) I noticed there is no user manual in the box, so called up to ask why. I was told nowadays Nikon don't normally put physical user manual in the box and I could find the user manual in the CD provided. BTW, there is no warranty card either. I doubted, so rang Nikon Australia and found out they are not authorized retailer and the camera I just bought from them are grey import stock and not covered by Nikon manufacture warranty. I took the camera and lenses back to them straight away to ask for a refund and the boss and the sale guy denied that they ever said they are Australian stock and refused to give a refund. They ever rudely said 'you can complain anywhere you want and you won't get a refund'. They were very rude and arrogant with no any respect and fairness.

With the fact that the camera didn't come as a full package (being lack of the user manual and warranty card) and the lie that the camera was Australian stock, the case has been brought to Fair Trading and I will keep you guys updated about what will happen.

For anyone who had bad experience with them, I suggest to work together to report the doggy retailer to Fair Trading. The way of doing business should not be tolerant at all in Australia!!!

For anyone who considering buying anything from them, stay away from them if you don't want to be sorry to yourself!!!

You guys can also check productreview to see how many unhappy customers they have.

    Cheers
