Car Window Tinting in Brisbane

Hi all,

I'm looking for darkest legal tint (35% VLT) in Brisbane.

Tint-a-car at Milton quoted me $395 for a small car for 'Octane'. I really like the look of the actual product, but that price is too much.

I like the black looking tint over charcoal or grey, and I like low reflectivity.

Any recommendations for a cheaper place (that is still quality) in Brisbane somewhere?

Thanks

I went to Solar Style Tinting
    http://www.solarstyle.net.au/

I recommend them, however they are quite costly compared to other companies.

However, they are probably the best company in Brisbane when it comes to tinting(they do the tinting for new BMWs) and you can easily find review on them on other forums(boostcruising, 86forums, etc)

    • Thanks for your reply!

Which version did you get? What cost? On what size car?

      • I got CXP40 on my MX-5(so driver and passenger's side window as well as rear window)
From what I recall, the cost was $330

It should be noted that I'm willing to spend more money on my car than the average person

Otherwise, there would probably be other options here

  • I have used class one window tinting over at least 7 years on all my cars. Very happy with the price and product. About $250 for my last car, a Holden sedan. They usually quote over the phone too.

    • Give Tint mart Strathpine a call. Mention the price tint a car gave and I'm sure they will be able to beat it.

It's worth noting that tint is something worth spending a bit more than the bare minimum on as you can imagine the quality and application can have a massive effect on its longevity. I know Tint mart offer a lifetime warranty on their tints.

Disclaimer: I do know the people who own/run tintmart Strathpine but I also know you will get a good price and a quality job from them.

  • To be honest, most tint films of a decent quality are essentially "the same" these days as you can only go to 35% tint (for VIC anyway). If you were in VIC, I can recommend the place I went to (and who the dealers go to) for $180 + GST..and that price applies to 4WDs also…

I got mine done for my Volkwagen Passat by RACQ tinting and they did a fantastic job. It comes with a lifetime warranty and really high quality tint.

    Check them out here: http://www.racq.com.au/motoring/roadside_assistance/car_wind…

  • Hi itosh1o, which one did you end up going?

    • Hi pumpkin,

I ended up going with Tint a car at milton. The owner's name is byron and he is a great bloke, did my car for $295 in the Octane tint. Super proffesional and looks great

      • Thanx Itosh. Will check them out.

  • Do tints actually look different? Both of my cars are 35% but one looks lighter than the other… can't work out why. Not sure if psychological….

    • Likely the cars original glass was slightly darker when manufactured.

  • About to get both of my cars done at RACQ. Quoted 260 for each car.

  • Forget about Milton (Tint-a-car), they're the most expensive, they quoted me $195 more than other Tint-a-car, try Moorooka and Bowen Hills.
