  • Thank you! I've been looking to buy this headset!

I wonder if I can rip the mic off this thing and fashion some kind of mod-mic, that's practically all it's good for. :\

      Stay classy ozb.

Tempting but I seem to prefer open ear headsets like Logitech G330 for gaming. The closed ear ones seem to get hot and uncomfortable real quick.

    • The G330 is hopeless; it just slides off the back of your head when you so much as tilt it a couple of degrees.

There was no way I could wear that thing, without it sliding off, unless I hooked the headband over my ears; which was even more uncomfortable.

Literally the worst headset I've ever owned. I can't see it being practical for anyone unless they have the head circumference of a fetus.

The microphone boom is also incredibly short and people kept complaining they couldn't hear me as well compared to my H390. Not to mention the ear cups, while potentially allowing your head to stay cooler, are barely the size of 50 cent coins; zero noise isolation. The aerated cloth material on them actually just encourages them to slide off your ears.

  • Thanks! Just grabbed one. Have been looking at the line of Logitech headsets (G930, G35, G430) and they all seem pretty much the same bar wireless and leather padding. Really good price for what seems to be a fantastic headset.

Yeah, this headset is almost identical to its older brother the G35 for half the price. It uses the same drivers if I'm not mistaken. Just missing the faux-leather padding and side buttons (which I could pass on).

      • The faux-leather padding on the G35 is a bit annoying, it doesn't last very long (less than a year) and it starts flaking off. The pain is Logitech don't sell spare pads. There is a work around by using one of the other brands pads but not worth the cost becuase you have to get them from the UK or US from memory.

  • Hmm, reading some reviews they say it is uncomfortable.. I have a pretty big head so I don't know if I want to make an investment if it's just going to be uncomfortable to use for reasonably long periods (2+ hours).

I guess I will just keep looking :P

    • Its very comfortable except the cushioning on the top which may feel weird after over a hour of use.

  • Excellent deal, they also had the g230 (same thing but no surround sound) for $45 but it already sold out. I think they dropped the price to beat dick smith's logitech sale price.

I've bought a g230 and the build quality as well as the sound is very high quality. Not made with any cheap materials. No doubt better than the steelseries siberia and turtle beach i tried

  • thanks, been meaning to get a set of gaming headphones

these seem great and match my computers decor

  • Ebay link for those that want feedback

  • BUYER BEWARE, the G430 is VERY VERY uncomfortable! So much so I want to get rid of my G430's…

  • just got these headphones, quite comfortable in my opinion but the 3d usb soundcard is pretty shite
