What attributes constitute a good deal?

Hi Peeps

Want to pick your brains here,

What constitute a good deal?

Price alone doesn't matter if you are selling "crap"

But what else do you guys look for when judging whether a deal is good or not

I'm planning our Boxing Day sale, so a little input/feedback will be great!

Cheers

Offering the cheapest price on a product that people actually want.

    • I think Donga has nailed it - for me it has to be something I am interested in, good quality at an unbeatable price.
Doesn't matter what the price is if its something I either am not interested in or, if it is something I might be interested in but the quality is crap.

Also, you have to beat the current market-leader (in lowest price), not compare it to RRP. While it is better to pump up the numbers and say "Save 60%", in OzBargain, we know where to find things at sub-RRP, but also be honest and compare with your current competitors and what you offer that should make us throw our money at you.

      • Exactly. I don't care if it's 90% off RRP if everyone else sells at that price. This deal was about 10-12% off ipad air but since Apple products rarely get discounted it was very popular.
