Cheap Microsoft Surface Keyboard? (Not Touch)

Can anyone find a surface keyboard that doesn't cost 65% of the price of the actual machine!!!
I know that the touch one is on sale at the moment but its not that great and is the reason i didn't buy one in the first place. It is still ridiculously overpriced for a tiny keyboard with a few magnets on it.

  • sigh true. i bought the backlit one with an RRP of $150 from jbhifi for $120 but you can use any BT keyboard or even USB (use a hub)… but only MS make the clipon keyboards from what ive seen… Ive seen the baisc one on sale for as low as $60 and recall the apple ones arnt cheap either and they are just a cover and not a keyboard too

    • Any chance of getting a copy of your receipt to price match please srhardy? Hubby has decided that we're going today to get a couple of surfaces, and has his heart set on getting the (I agree with you OP) ridiculously priced keyboard cover.

Just as well I have some JB gift vouchers. lol

  • +2

I just neg the price, it wasnt hard to get down to around the $120 as they had lots of stock, before when they had 2 it wasnt going to happen but the prices will drop too i guess.

I checkout a logitec BT and it was $150 so the Win one isnt over priced and the backlit rocks! I got the one with real keys and not the type/flat one…

    • Yes, that's the one we're after. Thanks.

  • I got a type cover for $99 at jb hifi when I brought my tablet. They had them priced at $129.

    • You got lucky. We were buying 2 tablets, and the best we could do was $99 on the touch cover.

  • This one can meet your needs, only $48.99: http://www.koolerbuy.com/koolertron-bluetooth-keyboard-cover…

It is Chinese website, you may have to wait a little longer than other deals
