i get my protein from here
    http://proteindirect.com.au/products.html
$95 for 5kg unflavoured WPC, $7 shipping Australia wide.

    • Nice site bezerk - probably the cheapest I've seen it anywhere.

Not a huge fan of the original post though - how many bars/caps etc do you get?

      • yeah it doesn't say how many bars, which i wouldn't want anyway because those aussie bodies HPLC bars taste like dirt mixed with cardboard to me. and from what i've read tribulus doesn't actually do anything beyond placebo.

  • depends on expiry as well..

  • not bad for protein

  • nice deal

  • Small comparison on www.vitaminme.com.au the same protein powder goes for $124.95 .. so although this is sounding like an advert to me with the other additions its not a bad price .. price on other products (eg Horleys) are pretty reasonable but not remarkable.

For those in Vic, who prefer name brand protein, haggle in Evelyn Faye (never pay retail price!?!?!) You usually end up with a web price being matched.

Given my cholesterol issue … argh … the amount of saturated fat in those bars is appalling.

  • Haven't received anything yet, but a Box is usually 12 bars, so about $40-60 value.
Shakers are $5-10, caps are about $40 for 60 caps.

I only ordered on the 19th, so I'm not expecting it for a week or so.
If this is still around I'll update with findings

Also you're hard pressed to find a 7-11 that doesn't carry an Aussie Bodies item, so lets hope we see the same quality from the bulk range.

  • i prefer WPI. At the moment I am taking the Optimum Nutrition one at the moment.

    Quick comparison:

Optimum - 30g serve inc 22g protein. 4.6kg @ $150. 153 serves if Aus Bodies - what you saying above is correct, this one gives 33g protein in a 40g serve. 5kg @ $120. 125 serves but an extra 10g protein in each serve and you are paying less for it.
Protein Direct - 30g protein per 42g serve. $115 for 5kg. (I have tried unflavoured before, personally can;t stand it).

This looks like a good deal, as does protein direct.

By the way, i don't see where it says a "box" of bars.

    • The picture is a box of HPLC bars, Caramel.

  • Hmmm I've tried Aussie Bodies PP before and it was awful :( wouldn't buy this deal even if it was v. cheap! Quality is pretty poor.

I've been using Optimum Nutrition or Dymatize. However I'm now tempted by the Protein Direct site…

Just did a quick calculation, the Protein Direct (NZ Whey, unflavoured) gives 33.5g of protein per dollar, while Dymatize Elite Whey (eg. 10 lbs for $150
from Vitamin King, http://www.vitaminking.com.au/elite-whey-protein-by-dymatize…), gives ~23g of protein per dollar.

So it looks like the protein direct is worth trying out if you don't mind unflavoured protein ie. you could make protein pancakes with it etc.

    • Skull down some protein pancakes during sets? :P

  • Lol, I meant for breakfast and things like that. I find it very hard to get enough protein in at every meal.
