Cheapest place to get Office 2010 at the moment

A friend is about to start STEPS program through local uni and is required to provide proof of having Microsoft Office 2010 as a minimum, before they will enroll her.

We already have the software on a disc that we can give her but she needs a license code, and has to have it by Monday morning.

We are aware that she can possibly get it as a freebie or at least at a discount through the uni once she is enrolled, but they won't enroll her without it.

Can anyone advise on the most reasonably priced means of obtaining a legitimate license please?

  • Office 365 is available for 99 as a 4 year subscription. This is the cheapest method of acquiring a legit copy of MS Office.

However, she will need to use a .edu address to purchase. If she does not have one, either use a friend's email address or if you know someone who's gone to TAFE or university, can purchase in her stead.

CPL also sells it for $85 but I'm also certain that there will be some kind of online check where you will be asked to provide a .edu address for product activation.

Office 2010 is a fairly old product, but you can still buy from http://www.cplonline.com.au/software/office-suite.html

  • +1

i get it at work for 10$
    through hupa program
i work in health so if you know anyone in IT or health go for it

  • As narbe said, the Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) is one of the cheapest ways to purchase Microsoft Office.

It cost's $15 for Office Professional Plus 2013 for PC or Office Home & Business 2011 for Mac - http://www.microsofthup.com/hupau

Your employer needs to have this setup with Microsoft and they need to provide you with a program code to use the website.

    • Thanks. Hubby gets it through work himself, but hers is just a small employer and doesn't do it.

      • If you don't care for their Eula - they will still give you a license with any outlook, live or hotmail email from the home user program

        • I thought this loophole had been fixed?
