Best PrePaid SIM deal with calls/data?

Hi everyone, back again!

I would like to find the best deal on a PrePaid SIM, taking into account calls and data.

I'm currently using Woolworths Pre Paid, which is only going to exist for the next 6 months or so.

With that, I get:
$500 of calls ($250 Optus to Optus, and $250 for regular calls)
5GB of data
45 day expiry

All for the low cost of $29 (or $26 with an Everyday Rewards Card)

Looking for a deal that will either match this as closely as possible, or better this.

Most important for me is the data. I chew through 5GB in 3-4 weeks. I need 5GB or above. I don't make as many calls, but that is still important.

Vodaphone is not an option for me, because there is no Voda reception at my future suburb of residence.

I should also mention that I don't particularly care about carrier to carrier free calls, as everyone I call is on every network.

All advice appreciated!

  • "$500 of calls ($250 Optus to Optus, and $250 for regular calls)"

This is the favoured way for telcos to present packages as they hide their exorbitant costs for connection and time fees behind it. $500 worth of calls may sound a lot but can be a trap for the unwary. A honest Telco would present it differently… for example Amaysim who have a flat rate per minute with no connection fee trickery.

There is a ton of packages around and apart from scouring google you may find some clues to better offers on the whirlpool forum if none come up here.

  • Amaysim - the best!
Contact me and I will get you a further bonus $10 of calls free.
    Just PM me.

    • +1

      +1 for amaysim

    • Hey mate,

I just tried to PM you but failed. Is this credit for each month or one-off bonus? I am about to buy a sim soon and how to get the bonus credits?

      Thanks!

  • hi all. to those of you who currently use amaysim, are their reception is good? what do you rate compare to Vodafone?
    Thanks!

    • Honestly not so good at my work place and at home..Im planning to shift to Aldi…

    • Depends on the coverage in your area, but generally I've had no problems. I'm a metro user though. It's on the Optus network as you know.
