has anyone used trademe.co.nz i assume its NZ version of ebay

Yeah I've used it before both in NZ and from Australia. They don't like Paypal or Ebay much in NZ because their versions of ACA did all these stories about Paypal scams and how dangerous Paypal is etc, plus trademe doesn't support it… I've managed to convince one or two people to use Paypal, otherwise I've used bank transfers which I don't like doing, but I haven't had any trouble thus far. You also have to pay $10 to trademe to verify your account, or give them an NZ address which they will send a letter to verify. It's really annoying as you can't contact sellers unless you have a verified account or until the auction is over.
I used it once when the exchange rate was better! I suggest getting a verified account like the previous poster suggested. It was the only way you could ask questions and ask if they were willing to ship to Australia, and if so, how much. It seems most users of the site list where in NZ they'll ship to, but not Aus (but some are willing to if you ask) since we aren't the main users of the site. Also, I would only pay with the credit card pay now thing they have, or if you can convince the seller to use paypal, otherwise international bank transfers are pretty expensive :( (Like at least AUD$20 in transaction fees!).
Use 28D card
I have it's ok just gotta make sure you have paymate or whatever pay system they use there (paypal wasn't an option with my purchases)
